Al of Irvine CA writes (3/21/02):
Elder Enterprises (a.k.a. Compania Americanas) runs a business saying that they will send you a catalog of addresses to call to work at home and assemble products. After I give Elder Enterprises my name and address, they send a driver to deliver the catalog stuffed in an envelope. The envelope on the front says NO REFUND IF OPENED.

After I did open it and called a few of the companies listed, the companies responded by saying “They are not affiliated with this company.” Elder Enterprises also says they will refund me the money after I copy 10 of the check stubs received by these companies. I asked for the money back after realizing that their product really does not work.

Elder gave me the runaround until I threatened to start an investigation with their company. Then the owner/supervisor called me. He did not want to return my money $73. All I want is my money back.
