FamilyContact911

Richard of Madera, PA May 26, 2009

Got a charge on my phone bill for 16.91 from Family 911 LLC by way of ILD Teleservices. I did not order or authorize any such charges. I was told it would take 3 to 4 billing cycles to get remove. Called Verizon & told them that I would pay this & not to add a late fee. ILD Teleservices could not tell me who order what ever the charge was for or give me a number to call. I think I have it take care of, but how can they do it & get away with it?

Jose of RC, CA May 15, 2009

Fraud Alert: This company billed me on my home tel bill a set up fee of 15.95 and a monthly fee of 12.95 without authorization for services. They use a third Party Billing Service such as ILD Teleservices, Inc to bill you so They dont have to provide any contact information to anybody, not even third party or final billing entity.

I could not get any contact information since they just bill and indicate that authorization was done via internet, which never happened in my case. And since I dont have any information I cannot do A complaint with governmental regulatory agencies. Please put out an Alert. for people to check their phone bill carefully, Thank You.

Craig of San Pedro, CA May 2, 2009

I have no idea who these people are or how I got charged. I contacted ILD and they are issuing a refund, but that may take up to 90 days. In the meantime I am going to contact ATT and make sure they don't dock me for not paying these charges. This outfit needs to be investigated. It was 15.95 charged to my account plus 1.44 local taxes.

I looked at my Verizon phone bill and saw charges for almost 55.00 that I did not recognize. Turns out it was ILD, Nation's 1st Communication and Family 911 Contact. Was really peeved I had to call all three to get try to get the charges off. Had no trouble with ILD or Nation's 1st. They canceled service and said a credit would be issued. The Falmily 911 Contact was a whole different story. The two Indian guys I spoke to just kept reading me the script about how someone from my computer registered online. Otherwise how could they have gotten my info. They even had something that very few people know. This is scary and so infuriating.

I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told they were in a mmeting. Of course, the more they read the script the louder and more emotional I got. I told them I would report them to the FTC, The Attorney General's Office and the Better Business Bureau to no avail. They did cancel the service but said they would not give me a credit. So now from reading the other complaints, I see that I very well may have to continue to go tru this every month or so. This is so outrageous. I plan to also talk to Verizon but I am sure they won't care. I have passwords on my online account and on my call in line. This should never have happened. How can we fight back? Please let me know.

At this point I have lost at least 15.95 plus tx and maybe almost 55.00 if the credits fail. And an hour of my time on the phone and internet and several hours of emotional upset. This is totally outrageous!!
