Amon of Arlington TX (07/19/08)
I had people from this number call me twice today. They keep calling my cell phone. I have had calls from the same number in the past & have asked to be put on the do not call list. But it has been ignored. The number they call from is more than just auto waranty offer calls as well. I have also recieved Credit Card lowering rate offers from them as well. It always shows up on my caller ID as (Colorado). When I asked for the name of their company on the Auto Waranty info the gave me a brief blip & hung up.

The other call was to lower the rate on my credit card. I don't even have a credit card! The lady tried to argue with me that there was one associated with my number. When I asked for the name on the card, she said it's Mr...then hung up. Obviously I'm conerned now that someone is using my info to get credit cards or attempting to buy insurance with my number. This is my cellphone too. How is it leagal for them to harass me on my cell phone!

If my minutes run out on my phone & they call me I could get charged extra fees.

Stephen of New York NY (07/17/08)
This company has called my cell phone numerous times to renew my automobile warranty. I don't have a car. They keep calling.

I don't have any extra cell phone minutes, so have had to pay overages because of their calls.

Joseph of Warrenton VA (07/11/08)
I receive these automated calls at work and at home CONSTANTLY. The other day, my daughter received a text message on her CELL PHONE! This tactic borders on harrassment.

Everytime we receive a call, or a text message, the cost it charged against our personal phone usage. I can't believe these scammers can continue to get away with this.

Rod of Fairfax Station VA (07/08/08)
I've received over two dozen calls from these folks at home and at work over a period of several months. The caller ID entry is almost always different. All requests to be placed on the Do Not Call list were ignored -- One gentleman just hung up. Clearly, they are intrusive and unwelcome, and they don't care about the law.

Robert of Middlesex NJ (07/08/08)
i have been receiving what appear to be automated telephone calls -various times during the day and evening. call states that my warranty is about to expire(has been expired for about 3 yrs). then states to press 1 if I want to renew. today-7-8-08 I spoke to a male and asked what company it was and he stated warranty services and then I asked where are they located and he said Chicago. while I was explaining that I am on the Federal no=call list as well as the NJ state no-call list and if he wanted a complaint signed against them -- he hung up. I tried to call back but the call would not go through to 5-062-256-2573-- the number used and appeared on my caller id. these calls have been going on for approximately 5-6 months and I have on numerous occasions told them to stop calling.

Corrine of San Francisco CA (07/08/08)
They have been constantly calling my place of business using an automated system. when i press 1 to speak to a representative I have asked them to take me off of the list and they hang up loudly. they literally slam the phone down. They have been constantly calling and harrassing me and when i ask them to stop, they start laughing and hang up the phone. I finally got someone on the line long enough today to get the name of the company.

Eric of Big City TX (07/07/08)
I'm recieving daily automated calls to my cell phone regarding the alleged expiration of my vehicle's factory warranty. I chose option 1 to speak with a Customer Service Representative (CSR). I asked for all available information on the company and the CSR would only give me the name Warranty Services based in Oklahoma. The CSR further stated they were mereley a contract answering service and I had been forwarded to them. I politley asked to be removed from the calling list for the umpteenth time.

Someone please determine/confirm the identity of this company and hire a law firm to open a class action suit against it. This aggresive, intrusive and manipulative sales conduct needs to stop. I will more than gladly submit my cell phone records as evidence to support any legitimate recourse.

James of Colorado Springs CO (07/03/08)
I have received numerous automated phone calls from the company in question, despite my being on both the Federal and State DNC lists. I have requested more than ten times by automated process, and three times when speaking with a rep, to be removed from the company's call lists. The calls persist. The number that appears on my caller ID is invalid (rings through to dead air)so it appears that the company in question is using a war dialer (i.e., an automated dialing system). Further, when asked to provide a contact number, all of the reps whom I spoke to refused to do so. If anybody ever finds out what the *real* name of this company is, or who is financing its illegal call campaigns, I hope you stick it to them good.

These calls have interefered greatly with my current job search (I was recently laid off) and, should I have tio change my contact number, it could set me back *months*.

Mrs. of Branford CT (07/03/08)
I work at a school and all of us in the office have been getting phone calls from a company which says that our car warranty is about to expire. This phone call has come in to our school at least 15-20 times today. We are told to press 1 to speak to someone, or to press 2 to be removed from the list. I've done both.

When I did speak to the person, I was asked what make, model and year the car was. When I gave them bogus information, they hung up. These phone calls are upsetting to all of us in the office, and disrupt our day by having us answer the phones for calls which have nothing at all to do with our school. This must stop!

Our day is disrupted by the many unrelated phone calls, and takes away from our regular, paid for duties.

Jennifer of Atlanta GA (06/27/08)
An automated message continually calls our company stating that the warranty for a vehicle is running out. I finally pressed 1 to talk with a rep., Terrance, and he asked for the make and model of the vehicle warranty about to expire. I told him I had no idea since this was a business number and they keep calling. He asked the number and I told him. Then he told me that it was another number that was dialed instead of the number I gave him.

I told him that made no sense and to remove our number from their listings. He hatefully told me to check our phone service as to why we're getting calls when it's not our number being dialed. Then he hung up on me. I am so sick and tired of this and it just keeps happening. I just want them to stop calling.

Matt of Los Angeles CA (06/26/08)
Warranty Services Fraud/Fraudulent corporation. Shortly after 2pm PST I received a automated telemarketing call. It was Obviously fraudulent, as it stated Your car warranty is about to expire...2nd notice, last chance to renew.. [ exactly the same as others have mentioned here.] and to be safe I would need to renew it. The call did not give a company name. Gave 'Press 1' to talk to a rep, which I did, got transferred to a call center iirc in Atlanta GA.

The Rep which answered was unable to give me a company name (so I can be put on the no call list), I asked for the supervisor, Mike, who would only give me the name Warranty Services Incorporated, and that the location was in Orange County. Refused to give a website, phone number or address. Claimed they were just the call center, and had to have personal identifying information before I would be transferred to a rep. Refused to transfer me. I believe this to be a case of FRAUD, as they started with a Fraudulent premise, that they had info on my current auto warranty and suggested I was already in a business relationship with them.

I have never purchased a car with any warranty, thus this was clearly fraudulent. IF each of us who receives these calls where to Press 1 and talk to a rep AS LONG as possible AND NOT buy anything, perhaps they would stop calling. You know they will NOT be good about any warranty when they refuse to give their company information to potential customers.

Donald of Waynesville GA (06/26/08)
This company KEEPS calling my cell phone over and over. I have asked to be removed well over a dozen times and they just keep calling. I have asked to talk to a Supervisor and they hung up on me. I was called a very bad cuss word and hung upon when I asked to be removed the next time. They call at all hours of the day. I just want it to stop!

I have been intrupted repeatadly at work. They call late in the evenings. Early mornings. Just all the time.

Peter of Los Angeles CA (06/23/08)
Got a call to my cell phone from a private number. I answered it and was told by an automated system that my vehicle warranty was set to expire... and that this was my second notice... they told me that I needed to stay on the line in order to speak with a representative. I eventually spoke with the manager who informed me that he did not know what auto dealership provided them with my contact information and that the company name was Warranty Services... I asked them politely to remove me from their list but I would not be surprised if I start to get more calls from them in the near future.

What a HUGE waste of my time!

Sam of Chicago IL (05/31/08)
recorded message says car warranty about to expire....press 1 to talk to someone...press 2 to be removed from list....calls keep coming from different states.....

James of Dothan AL (05/22/08)
I get this warranty service call several times a week. I keep pressing 0 to remove my number from their list, but they keep calling. I know when I am getting telemarketers or scams when I get calls on my line 2 because no on knows that number. I chose 1 to speak to a live person. I told him to take this number off their list. He tried to give some alternate number to call to remove the number. I told him I was not calling another number and that he should call them to remove my number. He hung up on me.

This is very disruptive to my daily work.

Lonnie of Escondido CA (05/20/08)
I got an automated call that my car warranty was about to expire. the phone message said press one, and then it went to a live person. I started asking questions, what car warranty has expired and she didnt know. I then asked her for her name, the company name and their phone number and hung up

Lindsay of Joshua TX (05/14/08)
My 88 year old Mother was coerced into buying a warranty for her car, that she no longer has, and gave them all the info on the phone to deduct from her account for $1000 initially. We paid the remainder of the contract and received the contract. In the contract it states the policy can be cancelled at any time and she would be provided a pro rated refund less handling costs.

When I contact them, they will not even talk to me about cancellation procedures,in fact they told me I could not cancel for a refund. The last time I called they just blantantly hung up on me. All I want to do is cancel this policy and retrieve as much back as possible. I have Power of Attorney for my mother's finances and I have provided this to them, otherwise they would not even talk to me.

We have paid them $1550.18 for the policy and it is paid in full.

Dennis of Sacramento CA (05/08/08)
called twice since i requested to be put on their no call list. this time a told them that this is my 3rd request they put me on hold and never came back to the phone.

Ernest of West Milford NJ (05/02/08)
Purchased an extended warranty, last payment May 19, 2006. Had a recent repair, called for authorization #. After the service was performed, I heard nothing. I called them, and was told to fax the bill. I still heard nothing, called them again and was told to call Capital Assurance. I called them and they said they had no money. I was told to call Mepco, they told me all they do is collect the money. Was then told to call SC Dept of Insurance, they told me money was in receivorship. I now need another repair so I can trade my vehicle in, I was making the trade with the warranty. I now have to take yet another hit because I do need another repair.

Unresolved auto repair, this company has never given me one penny. I want to be refunded in full so that I can have the necessary repairs done to my vehicle. This company is still selling extended warranties. The amount of this policy is $3195. It is a substantial amount, I would like my money back immediately.

Ronald of Pearl River NY (05/02/08)
I have been getting several calls a day from a telemarketing scam known as the car warranty scam. they call saying that my car warranty is about to expire and they try to fish personal information from me. When I tell them to remove me from their list they hang up on me. When I ask to speak to a supervisor they hang up on me. If I dont give them any information that they are looking for they hang up on me.

I have made complaints with the FCC and the FTC and called the new York state attorney general. Ive also researched this matter on the internet and it seems to be a national problem. Im trying to explore all avenues in getting these scammers stopped. please help.

several phone calls a week sometimes twice a day

Linda of Atlanta GA (04/28/08)
This company calls our business at least 3 times per week leaving messages after hours or calling during the day tying up our phones lines re your warranty is up; 2nd notice final notice. This has been going on for several months. Today I stayed on the line spoke with John & told him to not call our office again as I would report them. He called me a nasty adjective and hung up. Please look into this matter as we get quite enough calls on a daily basis from cold callers

None yet - it is an annoyance we can do without.

Elliot of Livingston NJ (04/24/08)
They call my work number with a recording about my auto warranty expiring. I asked them to stop. This is a clear violation of the Telemarketing act.

Lori of Levittown NY (04/01/08)
I received a postcard in the mail stating that my vehicle warranty may be approaching expiration. The postcard only showed a vehicle warranty record. It did not state for what vehicle it was for. When I called, I advised that I received this card and the man who answered the phone asked what year my car is. I did not tell him, but asked him what vehicle was it for (since I have changed my vehicle 3 times in the last 6 months). He hung up on me. I waited a few minutes and called back. The same person answered and we went through the same dialogue, except that he added that he did not have time to play this game with me. I then hung up on him, realizing this was probably just a pitch to get my business. He was EXTREMELY RUDE and had a bad tone of voice. This is no way to run a business. If it was legitimate he would have asked me for the vehicle warranty record number or some sort of information from me. This kind of thing is a waste of my valuable time, phone charges, and is just plain aggravating. I am hoping that this will put a bad strike towards this business. Thank you for your assistance.

Amanda of Prineville OR (03/28/08)
Auto Warranty Pro is a phony warranty company. I have asked several times in the last few months to be off their list, but they keep calling, very rude, very persistent. Toyota of Beaverton called to say this is not a company affiliated with them and to find out as much info when they call next. This company is under investigation. I asked for their website and the sales person (Alex) didn't want to give it to me but then he said it is www.autowarantypro.com. I went online and couldn't find this.

Joel of Colorado Springs CO (12/28/07)
I purchased a 2000 Dodge Dakota and along with it the extended warranty (Gold Coverage). Last month the 3rd gear went out on my manual transmission, and I took it to the dealership for repairs. All repairs are clearly covered under the warranty. At first Automotive Warranty refused to cover my claim because although I have done all regularly scheduled maintenance I couldn't find all of the records and receipts. Luckily for me the dealership fought with them, and they sent out one of their people to the shop in order to inspect the vehicle. When that didn't get them out of paying, they finally gave in. Under my agreement I also have 5 days of car rental which can be extended to 10 days if there is a parts delay.

Well, there was a delay in getting the new transmission so they were required to pay 10 days of my rental car not to exceed $25 per day. They only paid 5 days. I called up Enterprise Car Rental, and they went back and forth with the warranty company for a month. I finally ended up having to pay the last 5 days out of pocket and am still fighting with the warranty company for reimbursement. They claim the dealership never reported the parts delay to them, so they only need to pay for 5 days. The dealership has called them 3 times to verify that there was indeed a parts delay. The warranty company keeps claiming they have no record of the calls. I wish I had never purchased the warranty.

Thomas of Lawrenceburg TN (12/18/07)
We bought tire warranty insurance when we purchased our RV. RV tires run about $400 a tire. It was to cover tires in case of road hazard. We had a blow out on the highway on a Friday night. Saturday morning I called  Automotive Warranty--to only get a machine. I called again on Monday only to get a machine. We went out and  purchased 2 tires for our RV. After I finally talked with a human with Automotive Warranty, they sent me the claim forms to fill out. I did exactly as they asked. I only asked them to pay me for one tire, the one that blew out. It was stated on my tire ticket and towing ticket that it was a blow-out from a road hazard.

Well, needless to say they did not pay us for the tire. They even sent us a letter saying because we did not get prior approval for the purchase of the tire, that they would not pay. I did reply to that letter. These people are no good, and they have never replied to my calls or letters. Now that I have investigated them with other RVers, I have learned that they never pay anyone. They seem to always find an "out".

Marilyn of La Mesa CA (10/31/07)
In 2005 I bought a 2002 Saturn and also bought an Automotive Warranty for $1800.00. The salesman said it would be insurance if anything went wrong with the car and would also cover a rental car if needed. About 3 weeks ago I took the car in to the dealership to have the brakes replaced, and they found additional repairs. The warranty company denied the claim, stating it was not covered. I was upset but understanding. After fixing the belt tensioner and the serpentine belt, the mechanics found damage to the timing belt and some pistons. (They had my okay to take down the engine; what else could I do?) The repair for this is going to cost $3400.00.

I was relieved when I heard what the problem was because those parts ARE covered under the warranty. However, my relief turned to shock when my claim was denied....The warranty company is refusing to pay because they say the damage was caused by the serpentine belt which is not covered.

I have to pay the $3400.00 in repairs plus an additional $400.00 for the rental car which I've been driving for 3 weeks. I just finished paying about $900.00 for the brakes, belt tensioner and serpentine belt. I paid $1800.00 for a warranty for peace of mind, but it turns out to be a scam.

John of Manassas VA (03/12/06)
I purchased the Platinum New Vehicle Agreement warranty from Automotive Warranty Services, Inc. for my 2003 Honda Civic to provide added bumper-to-bumper coverage after the factory warranty expired. In Feb 2006, the transmission developed a leak and I submitted a claim to Automotive Warranty Services, Inc. which they have refused to act on (after my car sat in the shop for 10 day waiting for their response). They are totally non-responsive !!

They are not responding to my request for service under the extended warranty agreement I purchased. Beware of this company!!!

Curtis of Indianapolis (7/21/02):
Purchased an extended warranty for my vehicle through this company. Have had three incidents where they have denied coverage although parts seemed to be included in coverage. They have managed to come up with reasons to not cover the "covered" parts due to some "other" fault, ie: other "non-covered" part failed, (this was on my brakes), lack of maintenance on owners' part, this was the most recent and my "final straw". They claimed there was lack of proper maintenance on my ball joints, although I could prove that they were ok 6 months prior to them failing.

The economic impact has been an excessive cost to me at untimely periods when I could least afford to have this type of problem (during the first 5 yrs of ownership). That is why I bought the extended warranty.

Bill of Oak Lawn IL (10/12/00):
On 3/16/00 I purchased a used 1997 Ford Explorer XLT w/36,541 miles from Carmax in Tinley Park IL. At the time of the sale I was told I could purchase an extended warranty for $1,381 for 4 years/48,000 miles of protection. They told me that I would only have to pay $25.00 deductible for any covered repairs and that I would be able to take the car anywhere I wanted for repairs. It has been in the shop 6 or 7 times since I bought it and I have always had to fight and argue with them about the bill was always more then they allowed.

The reason I am submiting this to you is now it needs a crankshaft because the harmonic balancer loosened up and widened the slot in the crank. Well, they're refusing my claim for $1,800.00 because they say it was removed and reinstalled incorrectly, but as long as I have owned it nobody has touched it!
