Edward of Emery SD (04/02/09) Had purchased an extended warranty on a new 2006 RV through Poulsbo in Everett, WA on MAy 6 of '06 and filed an approved claim back in September '08 and have yet to be reimbursed the 1,395. When a letter was sent to the address listed in the contract it came back as not deliverable. The bogus address for Heritage as listed in the contract is Lincoln, NE 68510

James of Port Reading, NJ March 25, 2009
James of Port Reading NJ (03/25/09) Had my 2004 FORD Repaired on 12/17/08 at a authorized Ford dealer. the reapair was called in by the dealer and an authorization # Mo8-37065163 was authorized for the work in the amount of 163.00. after waiting 90 days I called heritage and was told my claim was authorized to be paid. I ask to speak to a claims person and was told they have on way of contacting them as it was done thru a 3rd party and done electronically.
I asked when it was to be paid as it was over the 60 days to be paid. they said its in the works. Gordon was not very helpful and sounded as if he really didn't care. I called a couple of other 800 numbers and got the same double talk. A woman Claire was no help either. as of 3/25/09 I still haven't been paid.
loss of sleep thinking that I've been douped. agravited that I have no Recourse. Paid 2700 dollars for a worthless warranty.
Andrew of Lafayette, IN March 16, 2009
Andrew of Lafayette IN (03/16/09) Filed a claim for work done on my Jeep in mid November 2008. Work was not done until my dealer received authorization from Heritage. I filed a timely claim with the authorization number, etc. When I call to ask the status of the claim I am told, we are only a third party that submits the claims, the carrier is responsible for payment. I am told that my payment will be sent and to be patient. When I ask how to contact the company directly, the person states that they have only indirect contact via computer and they are unable to help and do not know where the company is located.
I spoke to the Nebraska State government office responsible for insurance complaints and the lady told me that she thinks there is nobody at that address from that company and there hasn't been anybody there since early 2008. The phone number to that office from the BBB website gets you to an answering machine. The phone number to Heritage Administrative Services in Dublin, OH gets you back to the same 800 number with the unhelpful 3rd party.
I am left to conclude that this is not a viable company. There needs to be an investigation by state governments and the principals investigated for fraud.
Beverly of East Amherst, NY March 12, 2009
Beverly of East Amherst NY (03/12/09) I have an extended warrenty. It has always been no problem since 1994. All of a sudden, in Sept 2008, they didn't pay the full cost for a repair. So I paid the overage. Now I hear from the shop January 2009 that they have not had a check from Heritage yet. I called Heritage and they said that it was just authorized to be paid. But there was no one I was allowed to call to see when it would be going out and now it is March and I just got a bill from the shop again.
If I have to pay for it, it will be a hardship on me as I am a senior citizen and have not got the money for this.
