Steve of Sugarland, TX January 7, 2010 I purchased a contract from US Fidelis back in June.I took my car to nearby shop around the first week of December when my service engine light came on (Since the said I could bring my car to any ASE certified shop. The shop diagnosed that I have transmission and so I filed a claim the that same day. Next day they said that I should bring my car to an AAMCO shop since they wanted to tear down my transmission. Then I was told to fax over a car service receipt that was to be done 60 days after I purchased the contract. I was upset coz I just had my car serviced a month before and that they did not tell me right off the bat. So I called to cancel my policy since I thought it was unfair and I was told to call MEPCO since they hold my contract. I spoke to Renee and she said to give her a week to try to come up with a better deal for me and she said she was gonna put my payments on hold. When she called for the new offer I told her that it was still above my budget since I now have to pay for my 2,000 transmission repair and that I am only a student as well. She gave me instructions on how to cancel which was to write canceled across the payment agreement plan with sign and date as well as a notarized odometer reading of my vehicle and mailed before Jan 17 2010. I recieved a payment invoice from them on the 23rd of Dec stating that my next payment is due on jan 17th. Not to my knowledge they sent another payment invoice the next day,Christmas eve that They did not recieve my payment the previous month and that I had to make the payment on or before the 27th of Dec otherwise I would be considered late and that I may not be given my refund back. Got upset since it was Christmas that weekend and mail offices were closed and so I did not recieve my mail till after the said deadline. I mailed the cancellation paper anyways and just hoping they would honor my cancellation and give me some of my money back. ken of Port Matilda, PA January 7, 2010 1st. 99 ford tarus trans went out. they claim car rental car down because of their trouble getting one. Two weeks later they pay 3 days of rental. Transmission they pay 1,000 I pay 1,300. Now thay claim cylinder heads are not part of engine on our 99F1504x4. I have to pay 3,000 to get job done Jeanette of Los Angeles, CA January 7, 2010 I was looking at television one day and I notice a ad for extended warranity for my 2002 Nissan. So I called the number and I spoke to a Ryan the sell person. He told be that the warranity will cover my car at any California License Service Center that I choose and that the warranity will go in affect after 1000 miles. At the time of purchase my mileage was only 78,000 miles. The date I purchased the warranity was 9/23/09 for the down payment of about 500.00. William of Chicago, IL January 7, 2010 Back in July 2009, I saw an advertisement for this company, and at the time, I thought that it would be a good investment to purchase one of the company's extended warranties for my Chevy Impala. Boy! Was I wrong, I put my car in the shop twice only to have most of the repairs for my car not covered for some bull reason. I have since came to the conclusion that I am better off without the US Fidelity warranty and better off buying a warranty from GMAC. I had to incur a 690.00 dollar repair bill, plus I already have paid out a total of 700.00 in payments to US Fidelis, I want all my money back. Brandon of El Paso, TX January 7, 2010 I called the claims number to US Fidelis and explained what was wrong with my truck and was told to bring it to the shop. I was told that when they get the estimate done to have the shop call them with the estimante and they would open a case and get the work order going. When the shop called to let them know what was going on and the price US Fidelis than said that I was not covered and that I needed to call the costomer service. I did call and asked to take care of this and was put on hold long enought that I hung up and every time I call back I dont get through at all. I feel 100% disappointed and cheated by this company that I have already put several hundred dollars into already. Ed of Moreno Valley, CA January 1, 2010 I bout a policy from U S Fedilis in March of 2009, I was told that i would have complete coverage on my power train, electrical system, transmission, cooling, and electrical systems. after about 3 weeks I recieved a package with a booklet which was very vague in explaining the warranty, it also contained 3 bottles of additives which i was required to have installed in my car by a certified mechanic. After several months of paying for this policy I had a transmission problem, I took my Mercedes to an A S C certified mechanic, the torque converter was bad and I made a claim on my policy, it was then I discovered that i wasn;t dealing with U S Fidelis but a company called Choice, I was told that was their claims department, after several days and many phone calls I reach a claim rep, he told me to fax a claim form, and service records to him, after several days he said that he had not recieved the papers, his excuse was that the fax machenes were down, I tried again with the same results, after my mechanic talked to him, he authorized that the trans be torn down then he denied this, he said he would send an inspector to look at the transmission, this took about ten days, the inspector said the problem was covered, but then the claims dept said he was an independent contractor and had no authorization to approve the repairs, and he was denying the claim, I then called U S Fidelis and was told by them that were just a broker for the policy, that the policy was really through Choice Mfg,and there was nothing they could do, they were not the claims dept. I then contacted one of their customer service reps and they asked for the same paperwork, again it was faxed to them and again I was told it was not recieved I finally requested a physical address and sent the paperwork via registered mail, they are still reviwing the case and my car is still sitting in the shop, 2 1,2 months later, Jenni of Lemoore, CA December 29, 2009 I purchased a used car from a dealer that did not offer any type of warantee. I saw the US Fidelis commercial and thought it would be a good idea. I called and the sales rep made the policy sound like a good idea, especially since my car only had 48,000 miles on it. They said they would cover an additional 100,000 miles worth of repairs. Not only did my policy not state that when it finally did show up in the mail but it also came with many stipulations. I was not surprised to learn that I had to have documented commercial oil changes, but I did take issue with the indication that I had to have my transmission serviced. My car has a manual transmission that the Saturn dealership informed me has lifetime fluid and would not ever need to be changed. US Fidelis did not feel that that would allow me to not have it serviced. About a month ago I found a problem with my suspension that required I take the car into a Saturn dealership to be fixed. Naturally it was not covered by my warantee, and cost over 600 to fix. When I called to cancel my policy, I received the run around and was given the option to keep the coverage for an additional month free of charge to decide if I really wanted to cancel. They also offered to lower my payments at that time by about 20%. I used the next couple of weeks to decide that I did indeed want to cancel my policy and subsequently called to do so. The sales rep on the phone used 20 minutes of my time trying to tell me that I was making a grave mistake and should try to think it over a little more. When I finally told her I would not need to think and needed to know how to cancel she gave me the procedure and told me I would have to hold to get an automated recording of the company's address. I held for an additional 10 minutes before being hung up on. I had to call back and wait for another rep to be available to give me the address, at which point I asked to please not be put on hold again. The rep complied, somewhat gracefully. allan of charlotte, NC December 15, 2009 i brought a warranty package from us fidelis in august 2009 and the coverage was for engine transmission ect and my engine locked up and they ask me to send reciepts on the oilchanges that have been done and i sent them the reciepts and they told me that the reciepts are not valid because they did not have the vin numbers on the reciepts one of the recipts came from goodyear service station and the other came from tuguseggie tire station in cahrlotte nc and they ony hand write reciepts they told me thats in your contract they never sent me any contract sence i started up with them they was sending it to the wrong address i gaved the the right address when i signed up they never called or any thing my wife is with them now and she never recieved a contract we continue to call and never recieved any thing if i had recieved a contract i would hae known the guide lines Freddie of Concord, CA December 10, 2009 I purchased a repair insurase through US Fidelis in May 2009. I was told that if anything were to wrong with my vehicle I would be covered. Recently my truck was acting strangely and overheated so I took my truck to my mechanic that I have trusted for several years. I brought all my information that I recieved from US Fidelis to my mechanic and he started my claim. My mechanic called me today and told me that after he spent several hours on the phone with US Fidelis and filled out 10 to 15 pages of forms with them that they would NOT be covering any of the repairs that my truck needed. My claim was to be denied. I believe they never intended to pay out any money for any repair. Not only am I out the 695 I've already paid for the insurance policy, but I now have to pay 3,000 worth of repairs that they told me was covered under my policy. I have the booklet they sent to me with my "supposed" coverage and all the repairs my truck needs says that is to be covered! Now I am also under contract to pay the remaining 1600.00 on the ploicy, I want my money back! willie of mo city, TX December 5, 2009 I purchased an extended waaranty from US Fidelis approximately 12 months ago. Never late or missed a payment. The car Dealership repair contacted Fidelis regarding needing new valve stem seals which would cost around 1500 on my 2003 Toyota. We were told the claim would be denied because I did not have 4 yers of oil change receipts to give them. I told them the representative this is right out fraud in my opinion. This was never explained to me when I purchased the policy. Report Your Experience
