We listed our car on Auto Trader and have received nothing but calls from solicitors wanting to sell our car for us. When we asked for a refund, we were told Auto Trader gives NO REFUNDS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!

Paid 79 for time-unimited ad 6/29 (ad d 52128713)in return for the promise to be able to edit photos. I was never able to add or change photos, to my selling detriment. I asked for a partial refund, but they refused saying it was a server problem happening to all, for several weeks.

Then, in another add for limied time, aid 33 for 21 days (ad id 52197999), but ad did not appear for3 days. Getting extension took 3 calls, delays, long holds and still not sure if the ad will appear.

They are unresponsive. This seems like a deceptive business practice, scheme to take in money and or fraud. With thousands of ads, it seems ripe for class action against autotrader.com

Unfortunately I decided to sell my car at this website. This was the most miserable online service I ever used in my entire life. When I uploaded my ad, I had to call customer service and had to wait over 20 min. Updates take an eternity (over 2 days!!!), I got only one potential buyer through this website and around 30 from (the free) craigslist.com over a period of more than 2 weeks. The fees are high and any pathetic upgrade is a complete ripoff. I would never recommend this to anyone and I will tell about my experience to all people I know. I would rate this product as a MONUMENTAL DISASTER!
