In June 2007 I applied for credit online with Bill Heard. My husband and I had our heart set on a 2007 Chevy Silverado. The truck was our first new vehicle for both, so we were very excited. We had a trade in, my old Suburban- and we were up-side-down on the payments. So we decided to take the plunge and purchase this brabd new, very expensive truck woth the agreement that my husband and I would get an extra job to help with the payment. I was told that I was approved and so we went into the dealership.
I was greeted by the new trucks internet sales manager. We test drove 3 trucks and finally decided on a black truck. We were told that they would give me 12K for my trade in, and that I would put 500 down, and pay 800.00 a month.I was actually very excited because I knew that my credit was not all that great. We completed the transaction, with the exception that I would get a call from the approving bank on monday.
I gave them the keys to my old truck, and we were on our way when we noticed that my new truck had a crack on the passenger side mirror. the manager said that it was not a problem, He asked for me to bring the truck in the following week to get it replaced. I did that.... then he told me that he would have to place an order for the mirror and that it would take about 3-4 days. I thought ok.. we will wait. Well, we waited patiently, and on day 5.. we went back to the dealership. That was pointless.
Well, on week 2 with my new truck, I get a call from the finance manager stating that he had been very busy abd that my contract was incomplete. We said to him How can it be incomplete? We signed the contract, we gave you our check for the 500, you told us that the bank approved out deal. He stated that he needed for us to come in for a new copy of the new contract, because our payment had gone up by 54. We went back, signed the new contract, we asked about the replacement mirror wich was not ready. So we left... I kept calling with regards to my mirror, and failed to get anyone to help me out.
Then, over a month later, I get a call from the finace department stating that mydeal had not gone through and that the bank did not approve me. I was told that I needed to bring the truck back and that I could get in to a Chevy Aveo for 600 a month!!! After discussions with my husband, we returned the truck and they told me that my trade in was still on the lot. So I told then that I wanted my old truck back, my check for the 500 down. I was told ok, let us locate your keys. Well.... they could not find where they keys to my truck had been placed. At this point we had lost all patience. Thye could not find the keys, so it takes them 1hr and 20 minutes to have one made...
I finally get in my old truck and fing that it has no stereo. I am very angry and I ask the mamager Where is the stereo that was in my truck? He tries to give me this bull story -it was stolen FROM THE DEALERSHIP??? FROM THIS LOT??? I don't think so.... I demanded that they give me my truck in the conditions that I had delivered it to them. I wanted my stereo, my keyless remote, and gas in the tank (the tank was empty). So the manager gives me a work order for they keys and remote and to get a new stereo and send me to the parts department. I was told that they did not have the stereo in stock and for me to go to FRY's and pick a model and brabd and bring the info back so they could place the order. So, we did that.
3 days later I was told that the stereo had arrived and I went back, again, and had the stereo put in, they keys w/remote programmed..... I was so angry and fustrated that I sent an email to the general manager of GM, Bill Heard Manager,Finance Dpet., Chevrolet, and personnell of Bill Heard. It was a long and nasty email.... and I recieved a phone call to meet with the customer service manager of Bill Heard. He gave me a check in the amount of 450, the original purchase value of the stolen stereo, and I signed a letter stating that I would not sue them... I told him that my intention was NEVER to sue anybody, I just wanted what was rightfully mine and what was due to me. I took the check, and never went back!!!!!!
I was put behind 1 month's payment with Citi Financial and I had to make arrangements after I spoke with the company and sent them a copy of my complaint e-mail that I had sent to Bill Heard. More that any physical or economical damage, this experience has left us emotionally damaged. We had our hopes and our hearts set on this truck and we put all our faith on these people at the dealership. We wanted this truck so bad that we made changes aroud our household to make it possible. We put our trust and faith in Bill Heard, and we were let down. We don't even want to try to purchase a new vehicle.... EVER AGAIN

I went in to Bill Heard of Union city on Aug. 4,2008, After doing a application online. Garth Cooper called and said we have you preapproved.so i went into the dealership. I told them what i wanted my payments at what or about what i paid for the KiA. We proceeded outside to look at vehicle. I only TEST DROVE one TRUCK. 1500 Ram pickup. When I drove the car the mileage 73,+ miles. 1day later the odometer said 75+ miles. I immediately call them and ask what is the problem. They assured me I looked at it wrong.
HOW can I look at it wrong when I only one test drove one car and the 1st thing i told them was i wanted a car with not that many miles..I felt that 73 was kinda of ok. Well when i went back in the next day they gave me a new mileage sheet but i kept the old sheet to. 2nd problem It has been 24days since i've had the truck. Wells Fargo my old finance company for my trade in called me on Tues. that they have not received my payment for this month.I told her i traded that truck in on Aug 4. She looked at my account and say they called called several times for a payoff but has not paid off anything. since i read all the emails and heard the news report about pay offs. I called and said You all have called wells fargo 3x's to get a pay off and have not sent one payment to them. So i went ahead and made the payment on the KIA that I DON'T HAVE so that my credit won't get ruined. Annette proceeded to tell me that the car can't get PAID OFF BECAUSE THEY DON'T PAY OFF CARS THAT HAVE MORE THAN 75K ON IT. NOW WHEN WERE YOU GOING TO TELL ME THAT. AND I AM DUE TO GET MY TAG ON SEPT 4. I WILL BE RETURNING THE TRUCK FOR MY KIA. I MAY SUE THEM THAT IS SO FRAUDULENT. Jamie of Cumming, GA April 16, 2008
I purchased a 2005 Mercury Sable with only 40,000 miles on it in May of 2007. There was a door pannel missing and Bill Heard Chevorlet signed documentation stating that they would replace it free of charge to me, however my phone calls have not been returned and I have also been hung up on a couple of times. I also had to have the transmission rebuilt in March of 2008 because it was not shifting out of 2nd and 3rd gears.
I had to pay 2,500 on a car that doesnt even have 60,000 miles on it yet and I have not had it a year yet. I have had to take time out of my busy days to call them just to be told they are working on ordering the pannel for six months and then to just be hung up on. I am very dissatisfied with this dealership and will NEVER buy from them again and will HIGHLY recommend against doing so.

I had a gift of a free oil change and lube for christmas. I took our car in and got the free work. As it was very cold that day I did not check under the hood or car, after getting home and looking under the car I found that the lub work was not done. The oil and filter was right but I wonder what other things listed on the paperwork as completed were never done. I know this must be common practice as the paper work asks that you contact them first if there is a problem.
The front end was not lubed this time.

My wife traded her Honda Civic in on a brand new Trailblazer at Bill Heard in Sugarland. She has spotless credit and with the trade got an acceptable interest rate for a 4 year loan.
They called her back a few days later to tell her that the financing had fallen through and she needed to come back in to make another deal. When she arrived back at the dealer the only way to get the same payment was to either lease or extend the loan term because of an increased interest rate. They also told her that they had already sold her Civic and she could not have it back. Backed into a corner, she was completely taken advantage of by these people and I felt that they forced her to sign into a horrible deal. I would be part of a class action lawsuit for unscrupulous business practices in half a second.
In the end, we ended up having to sell the Trailblazer because she could not afford the new payments that they forced upon her. It was embarrassing, unethical, and they completely ruined what was supposed to be an exciting and wonderful purchase. I will NEVER recommend or buy from them again.

I purchased a vehicle on 5/11/07 from the above mentioned dealership. As of 6/20/07 my trade in has not been paid off and financing information on the new vehicle has not been provided to me.
The original deal was that I was to trade in my 02' Tahoe and write two checks 3500.00 & 1500.00. to be deposited on 5/15/07 and 6/1/07, both checks were deposited prior to those dates. Which resulted in NSF bounced checks.
I have called multiple times to the dealership to find out about the financing and have gotten the run around.
The original contract I signed stated that if financing was no obtained all and any possessions attached to this transaction would be returned, and if trade in was involved and sold prior to new financing it would be paid off at Fair Market Value. Well, my Tahoe was sold but never paid off. My hands are tied so I visited the dealership today 6/20/07 to talk to the finance director (Lester) and the finance manager (Rick Sanders) who would not disclose to me the new finance company and told me that you will write you car payments to whom ever I tell you to.
They proceeded to state that they were not going to pay off my loan as long as they were in possession of my checks. That conversation ended with the finance director (Lester) stating that he would not deal with me. On Friday June 22, 2007 Bill Heard repossessed the new vehicle that I purchased from them. They never called me and asked me to return the vehicle.
It is now Monday June 25, 2007 and my original trade-in has yet to be returned. Lee of Lilburn, GA May 24, 2007
I signed on a Ford Explorer 4x4 and took it to my mechanic, Takis at Optimum Auto Repair. He found the car to be a lemon. The complete underside of the car was painted with black paint to cover rust. Rust shavings were leaking out of the rear end fluids. The rear end drove like it was about to fall off the vehicle. The salesman claimed it was due to the new tires, but this was a lie.
When I took the car back to the Chevrolet dealership, they continued to lie about the problems and treated me very rudely. The manager tried to intimidate me by staring me down and verbally abusing me. The truck has major differential problems with the rear end. The salesman, Dexter, told me I could return the truck & he got my trade-in back for me and told me to take it home. Now the management department is calling me harassing me about taking my car back & are bullying me to take their car back. I do not want to do business with these people. They blatantly lied to me about the condition of the truck and have treated me extremely bad. My mechanic confirmed the car would continually have problems with the rear end differentials and the rust problems underneath. Rex of Calhoun, GA April 24, 2007
0n march 21 2007 my son purchase a truck from bill heard, and traded in his vehicle , we were so happy that we sent our mother law on march 28 to purchase a vehicle ,she also left happy. but the horror starts. two weeks later we got a call saying that we need to resign the papers cause the only way we could keep the vehicle is to sign a lease. this was bull ,we were gaurntee that we were financed and we even pick out our warranty plan.. we could not take the vehicle back until following week cause it was a two hour drive. after we took the vehicle back, we were able to get our trade in vehicle back, after they had already ran it through the service department ,and place bill heard stickers all over it.
We got about two miles up the road, and the brakes lock up on it, due to service department did not adjust the new brakes that they put on it.

I want to inform you of the treatment that I have received at Bill Heard Chevrolet in Sanford, FL. The employees of this dealership are unprofessional. I want to bring this to your attention as I will never do business with your company and advise everyone to refrain from doing business with your company as well. I went to purchase a 2007 Chevy HHR on Friday, March 30. I was told to take the unit by the finance department as he was sure that I would be approved for the loan. I did not want to take the unit unless guaranteed but he told me that he was sure to get me financed.
I went to the dealership on Monday and spoke with Fernanda (sales department). She advised that she wasn't sure if the loan was approved, but if there were any problems that she would call me. Today (April 4th) I received a call from Skip (another sales rep) on my cell phone, and he advised me that there was a problem with the loan and to return the HHR. I advised that I was fine with that but was unavailable to bring it back right then due to being at work. I told him that in the afternoon, I would be bringing the HHR back. At 3:30 PM, I received a call from Karen Davis on my work phone advising that I needed to return the car immediately.
She couldn't wait for the arrangements that I had made earlier with Skip. I advised that I would be there today but couldn't right at the moment. She demanded to speak with my supervisor, and if I didn't transfer the call she would call back to get my manager on the phone. I spoke with my supervisor who advised me that this was an illegal practice for a dealership to discuss the personal finance with the supervisor/manager of the customer. While I was outside talking on my cell phone to Elton (another sales rep), my supervisor received a call from a Wells Fargo rep that handles this particular dealership for funding purposes. I was not getting a loan through my employer so they should never have been called to get involved. My supervisor advised him that both him and the dealership were to NOT call my employee again as the HHR would be returned by 9:00PM today. My supervisor then took all of the information to our department manager who has escalated the issue internally. This is an unethical practice as well as on the hinge of being illegal due to disclosing information to someone not associated with my loan.
I took the HHR back to the dealership at roughly 5:30 PM today. I spoke with Skip, Henry, and Jeffrey upon my arrival. I advised them of everything that transpired today and how unprofessional I found Karen Davis. They offered to put gas in the car that I was going to trade in. I refused as I want nothing to do with this company. Upon returning back to work, I learned of the phone call that took place with my supervisor.

As i pulled into Bill Heard, I was met by Chris Morris before I got out of my vehicle. I explained to him my credit wasn't good and I was interested in purchasing a Chevy Colorado. We picked one on the lot that I test drove.
He ran my credit, and said even though the score was low, they could still get me approved. After further review of my credit, he explained to me that to finance the truck that I test drove would be 650 per month. With that being an amount that I couldn't afford, We then went back to the lot and looked at several other vehicles. I agreed to purchase a 2006 Chevy Impala they took my trade-in, a 2004 Chevy Malibu.
The agreement was to pay off the balance owed on my Malibu, add the deficit to my financed amount. We then went into financing and Chris introduced me to Sean. Sean explained that even though my credit score was low, there would be no problem with financing. They have over 30 banks that they used and everything was fine. I signed a contract to pay 431 per month for 72 months. In addition, to the contract for the 72 months at 431.00 Sean gave me another contract and asked me to sign it. this contract was blank. When i asked him why I should sign that one, he said if he found a bank to give me a better interest rate with lower payments, that's the contract he would use.
The payments would NOT be higher only lower. I put 2000 down, traded in my car and drove off the lot happy. This was on Saturday, February 3rd.On Wednesday,February 6th,Bill Heard Chevrolet cashed my down payment check for 2000.
On Thursday, February the 7th, I received a call from Chris Morris and he told me due to the bank they were getting me financed through, they need 3000 more down payment or needed to put me in a different vehicle.
When i asked him why, he stated that the finance company had fees that were incurred that would be about 3000. After this phone call from Chris, I went to my car to get the envelope that Chris gave me with my paperwork from the dealership in it.
The contract that i signed with payment amounts and terms was not in with the rest of the paperwork such as the odometer statement, privacy notice and arbitration agreement.
