Dennis of Chagrin Falls OH (5/10/03):
I purchased a new 745Li MW December 6, 2002 when I picked up the car the phone was not available and the saleman said the phone would be in the following week. After several weeks and phone calls to the dealer they sent me a phone, but the cell phone I recieved would not fit the connection in the car. When I contacted the dealer I was told I needed a differt wire harness and it would be available in two weeks.

After many phone calls it turns out that BMW and Motorola made a phone switch and I recievd one of the last cars with the old phone harness but there are no longer any old phone available and I would have to wait for the new wire harness. I have contacted BMW's Custoer Service Hotline, I called the BMW headquarters and spoke to several people, I even asked to speak to the President and CEO who as you can quess was not available.

The result of this I am unable to use any of the communication systems whih was the big selling feature on this vechical. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Art of Brewster NY (10/31/02):
I own a 2000 740il and lost the cell phone for the car. After calling BMW's customer service they have told me that the phone I have is no longer supported and they would have to re-wire the car to support a new phone all at my cost. This car is only 2 years old and the phone cord is molded into the center console. Has anyone else complained about this and has BMW offered anything to it's customers that are having this issue?

I'm just p***** that I bought a car that cost 70+K and after 2 years the maker does not support the phone installation I have.
