Concord BMW/Mini

Tovah of Benicia, CA December 18, 2007

The gas gauge in my 2005 BMW 325i had been acting up(fuel gauge would only read 1/2 tank, and the car would not take anymore gas). We have had no problems with this vehicle being that it is nearly brand new... until we brought it into Concord BMW. In October 2007 it was brought in for services and a month later we noticed the problem (up until that point the car was only used locally and I never tried to fill the tank up all the way.) Over Thanksgiving I used the car to drive to LA when I noticed the problem- the car would not allow any more gas to be put in the tank even though the fuel gauge said 1/2 tank. When i got back from LA and had time off of work I brought the vehicle in for a check up and to fix the gas tank-Kathy Danise left me with the impression that everything was fine and we would have our car back the next day and be able to pick our friends up from the airport. This was wed. dec. 12 2007. We get strung along until Friday, when our friends arrived we had no car to pick them up. BMW waited until the day was nearly over and then told me that they had yet to even START the service. I had to practically beg them to rent me a vehicle, and by the time they had finally took care of it, our friends had already rented a vehicle for themselves. Finally, on Monday December 17, 2007 I heard back that they would not service the vehicle due to the damage under the gas tank. I was told that I would recieve a call in a timely manner from the manager or the shop forman. It is now Tuesday 12/18 and I decided to call them again, seeing as it has been 5 days longer than originally anticipated, and the job had not been done, I called BMW customer relations. I was told that they would look into it and let us know.
