I am seeing my same complaint all over this site, and all over the internet. I own a 2002 Nissan Altima SL which I have maintained to the factory spec and have all my records. At 81K miles I had an 02 Sensor go bad, shortly after the catalytic converter and another 02 senser went bad. I did all the replacements as recommended. At 105K miles my car would not move over 20mph and began making a horribly loud noise. I towed it to the same dealership I always go through.

The catalytic converter needed to be replaced they said, and catalyse may have entered the engine which is why my car now consumes 2 quarts of oil a week. I was told to see if it consumes oil and if it does, to sell it to someone who I don't know or else I have to replace the engine.
