1972 Plymouth Duster; Was told the inside of the car was in excellent shape, the head liner is coming down, stickers all over the dash, wires taped up and hanging under the dash, rear seat has crisscross marks in the material, etc. The engine smokes bad, will not idle or even stay running and has a bad clutch neutral safety switch. Was told the car had no rust on the body (After washing it found rust bubbles three places on the body). Car was advertised engine was balanced and blueprinted with all documentation (Per Kevin Blye the builder, there is no documentation or receipts to state this) Car was advertised with a Crash Box 4 Speed (Per Kevin Blye the builder, this was removed and replaced with a standard Mopar 4 Speed transmission) Car was advertised to be recently appraised at $30,000 (My insurance company stated the most would be $8,500 in #1 condition) I want them to take the car back giving me a secured 100% refund including transportation cost both ways. Or refund the difference in the value I paid for the vehicle ($13,000 - $8,500) based on the book value from my insurance companies plus the above missing and misrepresented items; I would estimate a total secured refund of $6,500.00 Damage Resulting: I paid $13,000, Car was advertised to be recently appraised at $30,000 (My insurance company stated the most would be $8,500 in #1 condition) And will cost at least $5,000 to make it what it was appraised to be... Kern has not left himself much negotiating room. He should retain an attorney, preferably one in Florida, where the sellers are located. Report Your Experience
