I took my car to their shop for belts replacement. On the way back on the freeway, the plate under the car was not put back properly, while scraping till I find a spot to stop, plate got damaged, the guy from shop came and worked on it but could not place it back, so he took it and told me that I didn't need it anyways. Next day I went back for more important issue, the bad/loose BELT replacement.

When I asked the manager what he was going to do about the PLATE, he asked his employee, in front of me, where about was the PLATE, the mechanic said he had put it in his truck and took it HOME! He was asked to bring it to the shop, and I would go there the next day, so then, manager Mike told me that his guys (two, I guess one who did the belt replacement and other took the plate, on the freeway) deny that it was their doing and that the PLATE was broken before. Which is a lie, they would have had to tell me about it when they worked on my car two days in a row! (first day changed oil, second day belt-replacement) and not let me go on the road!

On my next follow up call, manager shared with me that his guys should both chip in for the cost of the Plate, but they had said NO! He added that he did not know who to believe. After several days, again I called Managers Mike for his decision on the plate. He still had not done anything, and grudgingly expressed that he would have to pay 200 out of his own pocket for cost of the plate and that I really wanted that to happen. Almost 3 weeks gone, still he is not giving a date or plan of action.

Waiting to hear from him.

On October 27th 2008 I went to EZ-lube for an oil change with an offer for 50.00 in free gasoline if I paid 34.99 plus taxes for a full service oil change. I received a fifty dollar certificate from EZ-lube that I mail in with receipts from my choice of gas stations. I send 100.00 a month receipts and receive a 25.00 gift card towards gas for 2 months for a total of 50.00. I followed all the instructions on the paper work given to me and after 3 months I never received any gift cards and when I called the number on my paperwork...it was constantly busy all hours of the day and the paperwork stated not to contact ez-lube. This a scam. EZ-lube should not lead their customers on to get business.

They owe me 50.00 worth of gas.

I took my car in for a basic oil change at the EZ Lube in San Diego about 5 weeks ago. I have been traveling a lot recently and had to get another oil change yesterday. This time I took it to my mechanic - a trustworthy guy I have known for years. Anyways, he discovered that the last time I had my oil changed the person put the drain plug on so tight (or did something) that stripped the grooves on the oil pan. This mistake is going to cost me over 200 because a new oil pan was needed. Luckily he has taken pictures for me because I am going to pursue action against EZ Lube.

If there is one reoccurring lesson to take from this - do not go to these quick oil change people. This is the third time in about 10 years I have had a problem with these types of businesses. Spend the extra 10 for a true professional to take care of your car. over 200

Had FS1 Full Service oil change on 3/26/09. I noticed an oil leak on the driveway where I park. After looking under the car and at the oil filter I have determined that the oil leak is coming from the drain plug. I called Chris at EZ Lube and he said to bring the car in it should be someting simple they can fix right away. Chris pulled my car into a service bay right away and checked the drain plug. He told me it was a little loose, tightened it topped off the oil and sent me on my way.

I will monitor the oil level over the next week and check if the leak issue has been resolved. I hope this minor oversite does not reflect a bigger problem with service for EZ Lube. I'm thankful Chris took care of the issue right away butfind it a bit perplexing that a drain plug could not be tightened correctly the first time. It should be the most important aspect of the entire service, next to the filter being properly installed. This experience serves as a reminder to check the work being performed on your vehicle during and after, keep that receipt.......
