Barbara of Hemet CA (12/29/08)
I took two cars in on Friday, Dec. 26, 2008 to get an oil change. As usual when the oil change was complete on the 1st car they called me out and told me what I needed done. They showed me a 'clean' air filter and said it needed replacement. I denied request. They also want to do 3 or more other services to a tune of 300 to 400, which I also denied. Then I went home and got car #2. Once again, they wanted to do this & that, but I just got the oil change. When I left and went home I thought it was kind of a hard ride, but I thought it was just because the tires were properly inflated.

The next day when I took the car out, it was really hard drive. I thought I had a front flat tire. A neighbor with an air compressor volunteered to inflate it. He told me that the hub cap was jammed and on crooked. (I didn't have any tire services done at EZ Lube or in the past anywhere) Then, the neighbor proceeded to check the other tires and the other front one was flat, too.

These were completely flat on the ground. Your workers flattened the tires as they were fine when I went in, and after leaving, the car sat in the my garage till the next morning. After they were reinflated, they haven't gone flat again. Also, it says on my invoice that they inflated the tires to 32psi, the tires say to inflate to 42psi. Your workers need to read. I regularly have 4 minor children-birth to 10 in the car and if they were in the car and I lost control because of the flat tires, this could have been disasterous. Also, 9 out of 10 times after a oil change at your place, we have to go a week or two before all the excess oil underneath is finished dripping and burnt off. I feel because of what happened theis week I am do some compensation and apology.

Also, my glove box has no lock and each time my car comes in, they take the liberty to take the glove box out to check the A/C filter without asking. This is my private property and they should at least ask before they enter the private areas. Please let me know what you are going to do about it.

My daughter took the Ford Focus in for an oil change and review of systems. Less than 2 weeks later she found a reputable place, after the car broke down, misdiagnesed for overheating. which should have been done when brought in initially.

Cost was737.22. I want to be reimbursed due to negligence. I called EZ Lube and they would not do any thing to correct their negligence. My daughter could have been serioulsy hurt or die, the car just stopped working

I took an old beater that I bought in for some services because I had no idea when the last maintenace was done on it. 255 later (after supposed discounts which, let's not get into the incorrect math and what they pulled at the register! such as 10% discount reflecting closer to 7-8% though stating 10% on the computer screen...)

I supposedly had an oil change, radiator flush, transmission flush & Read differential flush. I was suspicious since I was in the shop for less than an hour (probably closer to 1/2 an hour honestly, but I didn't check the time I got there) Anyhow. I take the vehicle away for the weekend (why I purchased it) and it's still over heating.

Now it's got a new trick where it's also slipping out of gear that it hadn't been doing before... Wasn't that the point of the services I just got? I had a mechanic look at it for me the day after I got back. He said when did you have these services done. at most a week ago. There's no way they did it. They would have had to have removed this pan and done this and this and it obviously hasn't been touched. They need to remove them in order to drain them because you can't vaccum them out. He said the oil and the coolant looked newer, but they hadn't touched the transmission or the rear differential.

But wait! It gets better!! The phone numbers on the invoice and available online all don't work!!! So you can't even call corperate to complain!!! HELP!!!

Well so far I was charged for services rendered and have no method without going back in and directly confronting the manager who was assisting me, which I really didn't want to do that.

EZ LUBE INVOICE#00089-05167602 TRANSACTION#08020405167602 INCIDENT DATE 02/04/2008
On February 4th, 2004 I brought my 2003 Saturn into EZ LUBE, located at 3402 Atlantic Ave, for a standard oil change. As the mechanic was working on my vehicle, I was watching from the waiting room through the glass window. As I was watching, I noticed that he forced open the hood and broke the latch used to hold the hood in place. I talked to the manager, Chris, who was very stand-offish and defensive--claiming they had nothing to do with the latch being broken. I have a big problem with this because I saw the mechanic forcing and banging my hood open and closed. I would like to speak to Chris's supervisor to resolve this situation immediately. I would like to either be reimbursed for the damage caused, or I would like them to fix the latch that the mechanic broke.
