The Focus is a nice-looking little car. And it replaced the truly execrable Escort. There, we said something good about it. Unfortunately, for way too many owners, that about exhausts the list of compliments. The Focus has so far set a record for safety recalls (would you believe 10?) and it may just be getting started.

It's unfortunate for everyone when an economy car has this many problems. It's especially rough on the poor customers, who presumably are on tight budgets and unable to pour time and money into keeping their supposed economy car running.

I bought a used 2003 FordFfocus on Jan 31,2005. on Feb 17, 2005 I could not turn the key when I put the key in the ignition. I had to have it towed to the service department and was without it for 3 days. The ignition had to be replaced it cost 203.50. Well on Jan 4,2005 the same thing happened again. I have not even had the car for a year year yet and the ignition needs to be replaced again and  so it is going to cost me another 140.00, a discount since they had already replaced it before, but i still have to tow over there again.

I have to pay for this car til 2008. I cannot believe this and the dealership tells me they have never heard the Focuses have ignition problems. "BS" is what I said, cause I did a search on it and OH the car has serious issues.
