I have a 2000 Ford Focus. I have had minor problems since I bought it, but recently my transmission began skipping second gear. I brought my car to the Bridgeport, CT Ford dealership where I bought it and the salesman told me my transmission needed to be replaced.

When I asked why a four-year-old car's transmission needed to be replaced he said it was because I did not change my transmission fluid. Since I bought my car, I used this dealership for all service needs, including oil changes. Not once was I told I needed to change my transmission fluid. Needless to say, I did not allow them to replace my transmission for $2000.
