2003 Pontiac Montana 4.3L series E engine. Rocker Arm bolts (8mm) stripped out of the 1,3,5 cylinder head at 85,342 miles. Dealer repaired at 1,500.00, Dealer also checked the 2,4,6 cylinder head. Dealer verified 2,4,6 cylinder head and rocker arm bolts ok. 88,702 miles and ... yes, the Rocker Arm bolts (8mm) stripped out of the 2,4,6 cylinder head. Another 1,500.00. After some Internet searching found other Montana owners with the same issue. Makes me wonder if I searched for issues with GM 3.4L engines if I would come up with the same issue.

2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP has been a very disappointing vehicle to own. I am the original owner and have had to replace the coolant level sensor. oil pan gasket, radio/cd player(4 years old at time) , valve cover gaskets, 2 inline mounted fuel filters, automatic rear view mirror, mass airflow sensor, fuel pump. i now am told my drivers information center and temp blower motor needs replacing because they are flicking intermittently (DIC has died completely).

My car has stopped without warning twice leaving me stranded and that has never happened to me with previous cars I've owned. The dealer repair shop doesn't know what the problem is and advised just to have the DIC and temp controls replaced or purchase a new vehicle. There seems to be an electrical issue because my dash lights flicker at times. I will never buy another Pontiac or GMC product again. I will like others probably go foreign and that's a word I've never liked.

Money out of my pocket just to keep my only vehicle running.

I have had two G6 cars. First a sedan GT, and now a coupe GTP. I had to sell my first G6 back to a dealership - too many defects, and two defects which they could not fix. One was with the panoramic roof, the other with the power steering constantly interfering with drivability. The car would randomly pull me around at highway speeds due to failure.

The GTP has had many major repairs completed. Has had 3 water pumps, 2 radiators, new fuel injectors, 2 new catalytics, sensors, broken seat frame, malfunctioning seat heaters, and now has a cracked head gasket at 112,000 km. I take very good care of my vehicles, all dealership maintained. DO NOT BUY A PONTIAC G6! GM customer service is a joke and no one really cares about the customer experience.

time wasted, car rentals, missed meetings...

I have owned this car for two years and I am on the fourth stereo as well as the third power steering issue/replacement, which is a factory recall. I have contacted Pontiac via telephone and have not received a solution from the company. I asked for a lifetime warranty or total replacement of the car.

Because of these issues, I have to leave work early or spend an entire Saturday waiting on the continual repairs. I have gone at least 3 weeks this year without my car due repairs. The power steering needs replaced every 6 to 10 months, putting my family's lives at risk everytime we drive the car. The recall stated that the power steering can go out without warning causing serious injury or death. I believe the Pontiac company should recall all 2005 g6 models for public safety reasons and anyone who purchased a 2005 Pontiac G6 should be refunded. Letting serious factory recalls run rancid results in senseless deaths. Please help protect our citizens.

My wife was driving in heavy rain when the wippers stopped working all of a sudden. luckelly she was not killed and managed to get the car onto the breakdwn lane until the rein let up.

I took the wipers out of the car and found that the link which connects the motor arm to the wiper transmission unit. After searching the net for hours i was not ablet to find this part, and even if i do i am afreid that it too will fail. its just a matter of time until this failure results in death, if it has not already.

What should i do? will gm repair this free? Will there be a recall for the Pontiac G6 i own, and if there is will i be reinversed for the amount i pay for parts and or labor? As it stands now, i mighrt have to rent a car until this is fixed.
