Save up to $379 on Your Auto Insurance. Compare Quotes from Top Providers Now! Find the Best Deal and Apply! - Adv. Nicole of Huntington Beach CA (2/27/04):
The fire ruined the whole electrical system, dashboard and windshield. The firemen put the fire out by axing through my windshield and melted dashboard. I no longer have a vehicle. After 5 weeks of dealing with GMAC and continually requesting a new vehicle, GM has informed me that they will not replace my vehicle. Two different fire investigators have found GM to be at fault. I now have to go and purchase a new vehicle. I am an at-home mom and purchasing a new vehicle wasn't in my budget for this year. This car is still under the GM warranty. I have documented everything very well including pictures of my vehicle. My car was ruined. The fire destroyed the electrical system, dashboard/instrument panel, windshield, rearview mirror/compass. My car was essentially totalled. Not to mention that I and my 5 kids in the car breathed in those toxic fumes! I was forced to go buy a new vehicle! GM did nothing for me! Nicole should file a claim with her insurance company. Report Your Experience
