Feds Probe Honda Ignition Problems

Denise of Brighton, CO, writes:
I would like to know if there is more information on paint peeling on bumpers of Hondas. My 2000 Honda has had the problem since almost day one. When I took it back to the shop they said it had been hit, but they would fix it at no charge since it wasn't very old.

While I was waiting I walked around their lot and noticed that most of the newer Hondas had the SAME type of paint damage as mine. This was explained to me as the bumper flexes and breaks the paint. They did fix it, but I will have problems as long as I own the car. I drove a 94 Pontiac before this car and never had a scratched bumper. Am I stuck with my bumper being dinged by everyday life?

Good question. Painted bumpers are all the thing now but they certainly do seem prone to frequent damage.
