Jessica of Seagoville, TX February 4, 2009

Jessica of Seagoville TX (02/04/09)
I went in on Friday 01/30/2009 @ 11:45 am, when i first walked in he ignored me, so i waited about 5 mins, later he said I'll be right with you, so about 2 mins after that he walked over to the counter and said my i help you? I said I called ahead your associate said that i could drop my car off and have the brakes done now, and pick my car back up at 4:30, that it would be ready, he said what type of car do you have? I said a 2007 Chrysler Sebring Touring, he turned and looked at me and said that he could'nt do it that. i would have to take my car to the dealership. I [asked] why? he replied that they did'nt make the brakes for my car for the 1st 2 years, and i just looked at him with my mouth wide open, I said ok thanks, feeling stupid because i know that this man just lied to me,

so i called Autozone, amazingnly they had the brakes , so i called all the just brakes just to see what they response would be , and every single str in the DFW area said that they could do it, then i was very angry! that i had just been discrimated against, i called their so-called corporate office and they [upset] me even further, so i'm just saying if you are Dallas and if you go to the Oaklawn lo if your black your car want get serviced. I was very disappointed and disrespected. I'll never go in there again, and i'm going to tell everybody .

I was an employee, Service manager for the store. I greeted and sold the service to customer's who brought their vehicle in. I was trained to sell no matter what. Management said do not sell anything the customer does not need. But they need everything. As you come in your vehicle was taken in to the shop and the wheels taken off along with the brakes being disassembled. You are now asked to walk around and see the problems. The shop foreman had already written an estimate before the car had been walked.

The average price a customer is asked to spend is between 250. and 500.00. I watched the manager steal from the company for which he said you just have to know how to beat the system. I was told when people complain about the squeaks coming back, sell the squeak. I even watched one tech put the wheels back on the car and torque the lugs when he looked down and saw the brake pads laying on the floor, he FORGOT to put them back on!

I went in to see about my brakes while I was drving up all I could smell was marijuana so I walked in the offices when he walked in i could smell nothing but marijuana on him but not only that his eyes where blood shot red he really couldn't even talk he was so high. So I asked him if I could speak to his manager when the manager came out he was acting the exact same way. This guys told me they where not worried if I reported them they mentioned how some of the main guys don't report them I feel like they all need a surprise drug test n need to learn some manners n how to deal with the customer instead of being all high

My kids think its ok to smoke n then work high on marijuana

The same problem all these other people from the above link have. I only went to them because my sensor squeaked letting me know that I needed to change my pads. They took my brakes apart and then told me i needed 500+ dollars of repair. I told him to just put pad on..he told me he cannot. Then put it back together. He then told me its not safe and renegotiated a price to 400 dollars. its not right to tell me that 'he can't' and that replacing my rotors when I told him to just change my brakes (twice) is criminal.

I was forced to change my rotors and now my breaks grind when I press down on them. He told me that the sound will go away in a couple hundred miles.

I went in for their 99 break job (4 brakes with re-surfacing) and they wanted to do about 1,500 worth of extra work. I told them: I'm changing the pads at this point in time and there aren't any problems caused by the problems you are showing me, the brakes worked fine until thy wore out as expected. Total cons. They refused to even change my brakes because the rear rotors are below manufactures specifications and wanted me to buy 2 new ones for 200. This might be true, but my car dealer checked the brakes 2 days ago and didn't say there was anything wrong other than the pads being worn, so I can't help but be sceptical.
