My 2005 Pathfinder I bought brand new still covered under Powertrain warranty needs a transmission. Nissan will not cover because they tell me the radiator caused the transmission to fail. The radiator never gave any warning that anything was wrong and apparantly Nissan and my dealer are very aware that this is a problem. In the Head Service mechanic's words he has had to explain this to several customers and he feels bad! Not bad enough to stop selling a defective vehicle's to unsuspecting customers.

Paid 36,000 for the car almost 4 years ago it has 45,000 miles They want 6000.00 to replace transmission already paid 725.00 for fuel pump that I was told was the problem. Do a Google search. Still owe 11000 on car. First time ever buying a brand new car very disappointed and a little heart broken that a car company like Nissan and my dealership have been so dishonest and don't stand behind their cars/warranty or their word. Goes to show you really can't trust people. Is there someone out there to protect the little guy?

In 2005 I purchased a new Nissan Pathfinder (2005 model) from an authorized dealer, Nemet Motor. Since then I have been complaining to Nissan that there was a constant squeaking and screeching noise coming from the engine belt area. I returned the vehicle several times to Nemet to correct this problem under the 3 year warranty, yet nothing was done, and the problem continued. I was told that the problem was related to dirt on the drive belt. Now the problem has gotten worse and the vehicle is practically inoperable due to the increasingly loud noise. I understand that this problem is typical in a substantial number of Nissan vehicles that were manufactured around 2005, yet Nissan continues to ignore this problem and have not issued a recall to fix this problem.

I believe that Nissan issued me a defective vehicle for the amount I paid in the sum of 31,000.

My wife, and I have been loyal Nissan customers since 1987. My wife drives an 02 which I brought for her 25th anniversary present. Our youngest daughter, drives a 94 which was pass down to her. I traded my 87 for an 05 which I am now driving. We have always brought Nissan Pathfinders, (SE-models) new, never used. Our oldest daughter purchased an07 Sentra last year at our advice. Weve had our share of normal problems but we are having a major Problem with the 02 Pathfinder. We had a problem with the timing chain cover making noise last year in October, at 62,000 miles. Nissan fixed it. Theres nothing we did to cause it.

About 6 wks ago our 02 Pathfinder started making a loud rattling Noise. We had it towed to the Nissan service dept. The technician informed us that 2 screws had backed out of the (power valve) and were bouncing around inside the cylinder. They took the engine out to get to the problem. The cost is 7899.99 which Nissan refuse to cover. We saw on line where other Pathfinder owners are experiencing the same problem. We know that were not responsible for these screws backing out, and should not have to pay for manufacturing defects. Weve always kept good maintenance on that truck, it has 70k miles. Nissan consumer affairs refuse to help us.

I have a 2001 Nissan Xterra that is had a couple of recalls fixed. One of them was the fuel sending unit molding that cracked. I had gas fumes through out the vehicle and gas leak underneath the vehicle. Nissan is now charging me 250.00 dollars to replace the fuel sending unit that was part of a recall.

It scares me to think that my vehicle could of caught on fire or worse yet killed my nephew who is often strapped in a car seat right above the defect where the leak was occurring. I dare anyone at Nissan to sit in my vehicle with the gas fumes and light a cigarrette or just rub there hands on the fabric of the seat to get some static going.
