Ruth of Ormond Beach FL (08/27/07)
Bought a 2003 Saturn vue with 53000 miles onit. I was told that 53000 was nothing on that type of vehicle. I pay 12000 for it.1 week after buying it, the tranny was acting up, making noises, shifting hard. Icalled, they looked at it, told me it was just the way these vihicles shifted. Two weeks later I called back and askare you sure???? something just isnt right I was told again oh its nothing mam, your just used to a different kind of tranny. So I have been driving it for 6 months, and my warranty is expired, I was not offered another extended warranty and idnt bother to fight further on it...now I wish I had. I am a traveling nurse Im from PA but I drove down to Fl to work for a year. The other night I was driving to work and the car just stopped. DEAD. In the middle of no where, In a town, state where I know no one. Alone. It cost me 150.00 to tow, 50.00 for a taxi and then 100.00 for Saturn to look at it. It is the tranny, I was right. Its gone. I was told atleast 2500.00-6000.They are not sure yet. Here I am in another state, I owe 11000 on the vehicle. And Saturn will not lift one finger to help any of us out of this jam.I could have been another statistic sitting along that desolate highway so men before you go and buy your wife think of this.....it does happen to alot of saturn owners. And this multi million dollar company will do NOTHING to help. So now I am renting a car to get to work...out of my own pocket and I have a car that I dont know what to do with. If I trade it, I will lose a ton of money. IF I let them repo it, there goes my credit. And Im a single mom, 6000.00 just isnt in my budeget. DONT buy from Saturn. Your better off with Japenese cars.

i purchased a saturn VUE 2006 on July 3rd of 06' (had 6 miles on it) since then it has gone in 4 times for service..the 1st time was for a humming noies coming from the back end, they replaced the univeral and rear diff, the second time they replaced the same things but on the otherside, the 3rd time they replaced the whole drive line, and diff in the front along with struts on the left side, it is currently in for repairs today, i have filed a complaint and i am having a hard time getting a hold of someone, i am not happy with my VUE i think i was sold a faulty car!!! so far saturn has only offered to fix it and i am not satified with that i want to know what my options from a legal standpoit are.. PLEASE SEND HELP!! i want to feel secure and safe in a NEW car, not annoyed, mad and unsafe!! i have a 10month old son, and concerned for his safety that is why i bought a VUE for the so-called five star safety rating

We purchased a 2004 Saturn Vue with 30,000 miles in May 06. We have put 10,000 miles on it and the transmission has went out. We have had it connected to 3 different computers and all mechanics have encouraged us to take it to the Saturn of Chattanooga Dealership for a 4th diagnosis. Apparently, the Transmission Control Module and Throttle Positions Signal needs replaced, which is approximately 500 each plus labor. I am very discouraged about what I have found concerning other Saturn transmissions having similar problems. I feel that this is a Saturn/GM problem that should be recalled and corrected asap. This is one of the few cars made in the USA that people like and in order to keep Americans buying USA MADE- Saturn, GM or any other USA mfg should go that extra mile to keep their customers. Word of mouth will either help or hurt a company.

I took my 2003 Vue for service for oil leaks. It has 59,000 miles on it and I have extended warrenty. The dealer said they recieved a service bullliton to reroute the pcv valve tube so the valve cover leak I have doesn't happen again. they want 85 to do this. I said that the car came this way and if it is flawed they should take care of it. They won't warrenty their work unless the tube is rerouted. DOES THIS SOUND RIGHT. I HAVE BOUGHT 5 SATURN SINCE 1991. THEY HAVE LOST ME AS A CUSTOMER FOR 85.
