Allan of Olive Branch MS (03/04/09)
Late May 2008 we bought a Suzuki C50 motorcycle, due to 4.00 per gallon gasoline, it has been to 3 dealers 5 times for an engine vibration. The bike is unridable for more than a few minutes, the bike only has 950 miles on it and has been in the shop for about 3 months of the 9 months we have owned it. It has currently been in a shop in Jonesboro, Ar. for the past month, all I know at this point Sizuki USA refuses to let them repair it under warrenty.

Economic damage due to gasoline prices and the inability to ride the bike to work as planned

12/4/08Driving on a flat road approx 50 mph with my son in the car. We heard a deafining bang. Next thing we know we are on the side of the road with the 4 side curtain airbags deployed. Towed to dealer who told us it was a warranty issue and it would be repaired. American Suzuki denies any responsibility for the repairs. They claim I swerved and caused the airbag sensors to detect an impending rollover causing the airbags to deploy. Auto insurance company will not pay for repairs as there was no impact. Estimated cost of repairs are 7000. Airbags, seatbelts and headliner all need to be replaced.

Car sat at dealership for over a month, now it is in my garage- unsafe to be driven. It only has 14500 miles on it. Car was purchased as a demo with 3900 miles on it in May 07.

STRESS. No vehicle to drive to and from work as American Suzuki will no longer pay for a loaner car. I received a chemical burn to my forehead but did not seek medical attention and it has healed. My son who was in the car with me has experienced anxiety over it.We cannot find an attorney to help us. Cannot afford to pay for repairs and make car payments. Cannot default on the loan due to financial implications.

Laura of Highlands Ranch, CO December 29, 2008

Laura of Highlands Ranch CO (12/29/08)
My name is Laura and I drive a 2007 XL-7. On November 19th I was driving down Lincoln Ave on a freshly paved road with no bumps or pot holes, I was driving approx 45 mph and all of the sudden it sounded like a bomb went off and my car filled up with white powder. I was driving, a friend was sitting in the passenger seat, my husband was sitting in the back driver side seat, my 3 year old was in a car seat in the middle and my 2 year old was sitting next to the door on the passenger side.

I immediatled slammed the brakes and jerked the wheel because it scared me and I though someone had hit us, my husband jumped out and there was no one around and NO damage to the vehicle on the outside. I pulled over into the median to get out and check the car, once again I noticed no exterior damage, at this time I pulled over onto the side road and I called the fire depatment because my 2 year old son was hit in the head with the air bags.

When the fire dept and police dept arrived on scene they checked out the kids and they looked inside of the vehicle and they couldnt believe what they were seeing. The police officer said in his 20+ years in the field he had never seen anything like it. Both the fire dept and police dept noted that there was no damage done to the vehicle on the outside. While we were waiting on the fire dept I called the dealer that we had bought the vehicle from in May 2008 brand new off the truck.

The service dept pulled codes off the computer system in the car and they said it had front and rear wheel impact on the driver side and it wouldnt be covered under warranty. There was absolutely no impact to the car. Per the delearship we contacted our insurace company and reported the claim. We took the car back to our house and it sat in the gargage for approx 4 or 5 days and our insurance adjuster came out and looked over the entire car and there is no damage anywhere on the exterior of the vehicle or under the vehicle.

The insurance requested that it be towed down to another suzuki dealer and with the service director, service writer, service tech, insurance adjuster and his boss along with us, they hooked up the codes machine again and it came up with no impact codes. So at this point the Manufactur is refusing to pay for the damage and the insurance company is requesting for Suzuki prove how the airbags went off and why before they have a claim to go off. So as of now no one is covering the damage on my vehicle and it is just sitting in the shop.

We have only the one vehicle. and we coulndt even get a rental until 3 weeks ago. There is approx 7,000.00 in damage done to the vehicle and the manufactur says it has nothing to do with them. There is other consuemer complaints with the EXACT same issue.

We have no vehicle at this time, due to the fact that was our only vehicle. We are having to pay 66.00 for a rental the no one is covering. My children are scared to death to be in the car now due to the airbags going off. My husband has ringing in his ears from it.

Theodosia of Philadelphia, PA December 16, 2008

Theodosia of Philadelphia PA (12/16/08)
I purchased my suzuki Reno in February of 2008. I followed through with oil changes as scheduled. During the month of September, my car started stopping while I was at a red light on parking. I took it to Suzuki who told me it was bad gas and said they where doing me a favor by cleaning the tank with liquid gas. Three weeks later it began stopping again. When I went to [dealer] they told me that things happen when you drive a car off the lot and said that they would not touch it because I was trying to do some lemon law thing.

I drove to [other] Suzuki who diagnosed it with needing a valve replacement. The next week it stopped again. Took it back where it was diagnosed with fouled spark plugs and cam sensor. Stooped gain two weeks after. Was held overnight to be diagnosed with a blown head gasket and spark plugs gone bad. Next week, it stooped while I was driving on one of our most busiest roads with dead battery. I am tired. The last time I missed my first day of work at a new job.

Suzuki was not very helpful when I tried working it out with them. I want badly to have them take back my car since I cant be respectfully serviced at the dealershio closest to me and am fearfull of something dnagerous happening.

loss of work and vacation days.
