The driver of this Toyota was severely injured when neither front nor side airbags deployed.

Glenda of Houston TX (11/15/06)
Driving Lexus series 330. On 11/14/06 had an accident. I ran into an ongoing car. Serious impact. Had seatbelt on.

My chest went into the steering wheelmy neck shifted back. Airbag did not release. Observers wondered why airbag didn't come on. I sustained injuries to my chest,(chest pains) neck and back, migraine headaches.

Olga of Nyack NY (10/08/06)
I have a 2002 Toyota Corolla S. On October 4, 2006, I had an accident in which the front of my vehicle was smashed inward, damaging all the parts of the car up to and including the windshield. My seatbelt provided me with excellent protection and I was unhurt. However, the driver airbag did not deploy (nor the passenger side, but there was no passenger). The police asked about the airbag which is when I realized it had not been activated by the crash.

As of now, I have no physical injuries because of the seatbelt. However, this seems to be a problem that may require a recall if it has occurred to other drivers.

Wqayne of Springfield, MO August 31, 2006

Wayne of Springfield MO (08/31/06)
While driving my 2005 Toyota Corolla (north bound on main st. in Joplin Missouri) A dump truck going East on 20th street failed to stop for a read light. My auto hit his right fuel tank at about 25 miles per hour. The main impact was my front to his side. My front air bag did not deploy. However as the force of the impact procceded to move my car to its left the left front drivers side air bag deployed as well as the left rear side air bag. My auto came to rest on a fire plug.

Consequently my head was being throne to the right by the side air bag. My lower left side was being punksured by the door panel and the set built was cuting into my left shoulder. Common since tells you that. Had the front air bag deployed as it was supposed to my neck shoulder and ribs would not have been injured as much.

Michelle of Mansfield, TX May 8, 2006

Michelle of Mansfield TX (05/08/06)
This was a side impact by another car going the same direction as we were. He fell asleep and hit a cement barrier on the right (Jersey barrier) and over corrected when he woke up hitting our right passanger door.

We were on the Highway.

I was in a high speed rollover and no airbags deployed. We had front and side airbagsin our 2004 Toyota Sequoia. Could there be a problem with the airbags? We are concerned about other people getting injured by airbags not deploying. Could this be a re-call issue? We already have an attorney only for the personal injuries.

Tamer of Auburn, AL April 4, 2006

Tamer of Auburn AL (04/04/06)
I had a horrific accident at 25 miles per hour on 03-21-06. I was turning left on my way, another car on the opposite side of the road was turning left on hers and the driver changed her mind and went straight, That ended up in a front-end collesion. The air bags in my 2003 Toyota Camry did not deploy and the restraining seat belt did not catch me. I hit the visor hanger and I had a big injury in my head (V shaped) that required 11 staples. The vehicle farme was severely bent.  The car was deemed a total loss.

I had 11 staples in my head and I was dignosed to have second degree concussion in addtion to severe pain in my neck, shoulders and my back. I was not able to go to my work for almost 2 weeks now. My wife said that for the 2 days past the accident my memory was very bad. I was not able to focus and I am still suffering from severe headache. As a consequance my health insurence will go up as the hopital bill for the ER alone is almost 4,000 alone without the follow up and physical therapy.
