The glass deflector before my moon roof on my scion tc shattered. I do not believe anything hit it. I believe it just broke while I was driving on the highway.

Brittany of Buckeye, AZ December 26, 2006

Brittany of Buckeye AZ (12/26/06)
While driving home from work one day, my sud-assembly to my moonroof started to shatter. Not only did it shatter for over an hour, it continued to shatter after the car was parked in my garage. I then found out that Toyota had a recall on the exact part that shattered on my car, for the exact reason. owever after calling Toyota they told me to bring my car in to be looked at. Toyota then told me that even though it was the exact same problem, they would not be liable to cover the damage bcause my car had a protective tape over the glass, and they dont know why it shattered like that. The big problem is that when the glass shattered it came apart from the car, and the glass started to fall into the frame of the car! I have two children that ride in the backseat, and thats not safe! So how is Toyota going to recall a part, claim that it's been fixed, and not even acknoldge when the problem still happens. This is a huge safety issue, what if my childs were in the car. I just want to know if anyone else with a Toyota Scion TC (2006) has also had this issue, since the recall that Toyota would not replace.
