I got a brand new Nissan Altama top of the line last year. I had the car for about a week and my driver side seat belt broke. I called the dealer and they told me they wouldn't be able to get the car in to fix it for 2 weeks. After that the sunroof got stuck open and Nissan couldnt fix the car. They made me drive all the way to Dallas to get it fixed which I had to do 4 times. Cause the roof leaked the car smelled inside and Nissan refused to fix the problem.

The Trans messed up at 20,000 miles. Then from then on the moter made a horrible sound. The heater wouldnt work half the time also. I had an eclipse before I bout the nissan and I really wish i would have kept it. Infact after I finally got rid of the Nissan i got another one and have never had a problem. Trophy nissan is the worst dealership In the country. I advise people to go elsewhere.

On September 29, 2008 I was looking to trade in my 2003 Ford Focus. I was told that I could get a good deal at Trophy Nissan in Mesquite. I was there for almost 6 hours with these people. I got a 2007 Nissan Sentra. I signed a contract with Trophy Nissan which included a 60 month, warranty and maintenance service. I had 0 credit and had a co-signer. My trade in was 2000 with 200 down. I switched my insurance coverage to this 2007 Nissan.

On October 28, 2008, I got a phone call from Craig Nash telling me that I needed to come in for service to be done on the car. I went there on October 29, 2008 at 2 PM and was asked by Mr. Nash to give him the keys. I did and then I was told that I did not qualify for financing. This was a trick to get me to return the car. They should have been honest in the first place. My co-signer got mail for financial institutions telling her that she was not qualified to be a co-signer and she has perfect credit.

I demanded my trade in car back along with the title and my 200 back. I got back my old car and the 200. I did signed a contract and never had a chance to make the first payment. They wanted to changed the monthly payments from 354 a month to 650 a month. They knew that this was too much. I was lied to by these people and then they wanted to know if I would recommend other to them telling my that they would give me 200 per customer. I will give them a reference, it will not be a good one!

Rude, of Mesquite, TX October 7, 2008

On October 7, 2008 my husband and I went to Trophy Nissan to look at purchasing a vehicle. I meet my husband there and was greeted by Gabriel, a fairly new sales person. The salesperson, my husband and I looked at a Murano and an Altima that was listed on the Pre-Owned lot. We liked the Murano however; our budget called for the Altima. As we talked with the salesperson Gabriel, we told him specially that we liked both cars; when asked about financing we told the Gabriel we would see what loan terms they could offer us.

With this in mind, we proceeded to get financing, I could not stay to get the details of the loan which included interest rate and term. When my husband called me be was very disgusted with MICHEAL I, sales manager. MICHEAL told my husband “Aren’t you the breadwinner of the house’, about making the discussion to purchase the vehicle!! My husband told MICHEAL that he would not make a discussion without me. The nerve of MICHEAL!!!

My husband wasted 2 hours going round & round with MICHEAL about the interest rate and the term of the vehicle, AFTER IS WAS ALL SAID AND DONE...my husband never got an interest rate just the a 325 magical number that popped from the head of MICHEAL along with a 5 yr term!!! WoW!! When I called MICHEAL, to get the interest rate and terms of the Altima that my husband was NEVER given, he said “I’m being patient with you Lady! as if I was irritating him!! HELLO, you’re in the sales business what ever happened to CUSTOMER SERVICE….he’s being patient with me, YEAH RIGHT!!! MICHEAL CAN GO TO H***

Dean of Fort Worth, TX September 27, 2008

My girlfriend and I heard a commerical on tv about the nissan coupe being half off of MSRP, I called and asked Joe Hawk about this and he said yes half off of msrp and asked more then once if that was true his reply both times was yes because I didn't want to drive for an hour for nothing, I called my girl friend and she called also and got the same reply.

We drove to Mesquite and still was never told after I asked again that this was a lease not a purschase, we sat and heard the bull for two and a half hours. We drove the car and I mentioned the half off of MSRP again and still nothing from the salesman. After the long and gruling time they told us it was a lease, to say the least we were pissed and all they could say was sorry and give us thirty dollar's worth of gas and drive one hour home. They are lying to the public just to get them into the showroom and not telling you the truth until you have sat ther for a very long time. I would like this stopped and the dealership held accountable, they are proud of thier excellence award for the last six years I don't want to see them get another one.

Also I would like to be contacted by a nissan corporate to see how they will handle this. I specifically asked more then a few time about the half off of MSRP and got the same answer yes and was never told it was a lease until 2 1/2 hr's of bullshit total time wasted that day was five and a half hours.

James of Dallas, TX September 12, 2008

I contacted Trophy Nissan from seeing them on TV. I heard nothing for months until out of the blue, I received a call several months later from Cris M. I explained in detail everything about my situation. I told him what I would be trading, what I owed on it and that I had credit issues. Cris promised that he could get a deal done even if it meant getting the manager or the owner involved. I told him several times that I did not want to waste his time nor waste my time. He convinced me to come out.

I wasted several hours waiting for him to get my car appraised only to tell me that he would have to work on the deal. He promised me faithfully that he would call me. To my suprise that did not happen. I finally called and was told that he was out and he would call me back. That did not happen so I called the next day. He was supposedly with a customer. When I said I had left a message the day before the receptionist very rudely interrupted me and said he left early the day before. She has no business at all being a receptionist. RUDE RUDE RUDE.

When I finally was able to talk to Cris the third time I contacted the dealership, he informed me that he had been unsuccessful in getting any deal to be accepted. My complaint is that he knew EVERYTHING about my situation from the beginning. He lied to me about being able to get the owner involved who would make calls and make the deal happen. I would never recommend ANYONE go to Trophy Nissan.

They are not an honest dealership and to add to the story, when I arrived at the dealer there was a lady screaming at the employees for the way she had been treated. She was so upset that I thought it was going to come to blows. That is not the kind of dealership I would ever recommend.

Ardelia of Dallas, TX April 2, 2008

Ardelia of Dallas TX (04/02/08)
Yesterday I had the most frightening experience in my life at Trophy Nissan of Mesquite, TX. My daughters and I went to this establishment to check out a sale for used cars that was advertised on TV. The advertisement said that they had cars for 19.00 down and your monthly payment as low as 79.00 monthly and these cars were repossessed by the bank. They were to be sold at Trophy Nissan and that the bank was going to finance these cars before they sent them to a car auction.

Monday I called Trophy Nissan to inquire about the sale and what I needed to do. I was told to come there and look at the cars. The cars where priced by the year of the car and what all the cars had in it, also by how low the mileage was. When I got there I asked them could we see the cars and I was told that they had to check out my credit first, and only then could I see the cars. When I ask them where the cars were that were on sale. The salesperson showed me a lot full of cars that fell under the sell, however when in the office he said he had only two cars that fit our financial needs. These two cars were in the shop and that we could test drive it the next day.

When I asked about the price of the car he never quoted me a price. However he did say that it would be around 14,000 with a monthly payment of no more than 350. The next day we came back eager to test drive the car. It was to be ready at 12 noon but they did not produce the car until 3pm. Meanwhile, the salesperson wanted us to finalize the sale BEFORE we even test drove it and he wanted us to test drive a similar vehicle in place of the one to be purchased. Of course we refused, insisting that we see the vehicle first.

Well we did the test drive, and it ran beautifully but we noticed a large amount of scratches and dents on the tail end of the car. I asked the salesman for the VHR, instead of producing it he came back again with the numbers wanting us to sign for a payment arrangement. To get him to do his job first, we had to literally get it in writing from him that this time he would come back with the VHR. When he came back with the VHR he also had the revised numbers for the car. The vehicle had a sale price of 23,000 and a monthly payment of 580 (big difference) he continued this charade until the price was brought down to 14,500 with a monthly payment of 371. By this time a second sales person had come in, we only know him by Shep?.

He was a very rude person, he spoke in such a loud tone that he drew the attention of everyone in the office. (A minimum of 50 customers and employees) Along with his highly animated demeanor he loudly proclaimed that my credit was horrible, this was the final offer, and that there was no other auto dealership that would consider financing me. Terribly disturbed by this display, I kindly told him no, and that I would be taking my business elsewhere, and that there is indeed another car lot who would give me a car. Despite being boxed in the office, we manage to leave the cubical and the office and get into the car.

At this moment, we heard the voice of Shep? yelling HEY!!? and we saw him approaching the car at a very fast pace waving papers. I remember thinking this man is crazy?, and I told my daughters to lock their doors. He stood at my door yelling confidential information about my credit report at me. He then said here I want to give you something?. My youngest daughter in the back seat cracked her door open and stuck out her hand in an attempt to get back my credit report so we could leave. I did not realize that my door was still unlocked, until Shep? opened my door and sat down inside my car!

Keeping his previous vocal tone, now sitting literally face to face, and waving my credit report in my face he proceeded to tell me that going somewhere else would be futile as he circled my various debts. He even went as far as to insult my intelligence. I managed to ask him one question. As long as I am paying cash up front in full, for my car it shouldnt matter how bad or good my credit is, should it?? He became even more outraged stating that there is no dealership that would ever accept cash for a car, because they make their money off of interest only?.

I came to Nissan to inquire if they had something to offer me regarding transportation. What I received from them was treatment that I wouldnt wish upon a dog. I was highly disappointed at this event, and even more such disgusted that Nissan would hire such people to conduct their business in this manor. This is no safe environment for women to conduct their business. I fear greatly for any other woman who enters that establishment. Luckily for me, I had my daughters there with me. But I can see now how they bully and harass people into buying cars.

Scott of Crandall, TX September 23, 2003

On Friday Sept. 19, 2003 I went Trophy Nissan to take my Sentra in because Service Engine Soon light was on. I to my Sentra in I spoke to Richard and he look under my car and also found my drive belt were fraying. Richard called me around 11:00 a.m. to tell me Converter needed to be replaced, drive belts, and front brakes needed to be replaced also. I asked him if the coverter could wait because of cost.

He told me that the converter would fall apart and cause damage to my engine. Thinking that this couldn't wait I had this replaced. I later learned from my brother in law who is a manchanic that this wouldn't damaged my engine. He told that all it would do give as much power to my engine. I spent over 900 dollars to this fix because Richard made me feel that this couldn't wait. I don't like being lied to. I have purchase three cars from Trophy Nissan and I WILL NOT PURCHASE ANOTHER CAR FROM AGAIN because of this matter.
