Antoni of Old Bethpage, NY May 15, 2009

I went to this business to get my oil changed. One week after the oil change I noticed that my car was leaking something. The car was garaged for another two weeks and when I pulled the car out I had noticed a significant amount of oil that had been leaking from the car. I brought the car to my local mechanic and he said that the last person who changed my oil had stripped the drain plug on my oil pan and made a temporary repair using a bigger self threading bolt to plug the hole. He also added that they did a poor job in doing this temporary fix and had caused Aluminum shavings to go inside my oil and maybe even my engine. He also stated that this problem needs to be repaired ASAP or my engine could seize and be destroyed. Also the oil pan needs to be removed and replaced and the engine inspected for damage.

After hearing this I called the business (AvisLube) and explained my claim. The person was not helpful at all and refused to give me the owners name and NYS registered shop number. They claim that someone else could have done the damage.

I explained to them that my last two oil changes were done by them and them only, and that I have the receipts. The first receipt has nothing written under service comments and the second receipt has the following written under service comments: -Damaged oil Pan -Drain Plug Stripped

I did not see this comment at the time of service as if I did I would have said something. My mechanic is charging me 518.63 to repair the damage that AvisLube/Zippylube has done to my car and Avislube does not want to admit that they are the ones responsible for doing the damage.

Vicky of Waynesville, NC January 5, 2009

Vicky of Waynesville NC (01/05/09)
My 19 years daughter received a 150.00 gift card (Zippy Lube) from her father for her Birthday and when to have oil change and tires rotated.

When she handed her card to the attentant he told her he wasn't set up for gift cards and insisted she pay him, when she told him she didn't have any other means of payment he took her gift card 150.00, work done (70.00) and told her he would call her when it was installed sometime at the end of January and made her cry while she was signing the paperwork and didn't give her any paperwork showing she paid for it.
