Oxford Academy

Annabelle of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, writes:
In Oct. 1999 We have paid Oxford Academy Learning Center a franchise fee of $39,500 for a school that we were told would open in Jan. 2000. If it did not open in Jan. we were told we would get a full refund. All we have seen is an empty store which we were told would be our school. The store is the same today as it was in Oct.

I sold my small busniss in Oct. to buy this school, and now have no income since Oct. 99. Would appreciate any help.

Annabelle should have called an attorney before she signed the contract and that $39,500 check. She should definitely do so now.
