They sell us a Blacberry 8310 as a better option than the Blacberry 9630 that we were asking for. They use their technical knowledge to ambush their clients. They sell us an 8310 at a higher price (US 550) than they were asking for the 9630 (499). After an internet search we notice the 8310 is a very old model it has less screen resolution (¨just a little bit¨, according to Martin Mammoliti, the seller) and fewer features. We return four more times to the store in order to change the model or to obtain a refund. Nothing happened.

An internet search shows lots of complains about this store and about the selling ¨strategies¨ of Martin in particular. My question is who has to take all this complains into consideration. Who has to stop this unfair practices.

To the people who are reading this, please don’t even think to enter 192 camera.com and please don’t be ambush by Mr. Martin with his siren songs.

I spent 700 at 192camera.com and had the most awful retail experience of my life which ended with the police being called by the vendor. I have since seen a number of reports on the web by people who seem to have been well and truely ripped off and treated like dirt. I am sadly one of many it would seem and would welcome a closer look at their practices. There appears to be no accountability here and believe me I tried hard to get some. Please help. This is what happened.

I went in to enquire about a zoom lense for my Canon digital camera and spent 700 - 500 on one zoom lense and 200 on a wide angle/ macro lense. I walked away happy but the 2nd time I used the wide angle lense I noticed dark shading around the edges on my photos and the third time I used it the lense literally fell apart. I caught the glass part of the macro lense in mid air. I went back to the shop and fully expected the lense to be replaced. What happened was the last thing me or my party expected. The sales person who orginally sold the lenses to me said he had never seen anything like it before and conferred with the manager. The manager agreed and was suggesting that I had dropped the lense and there were no marks because I had dropped it on grass. I had not dropped the lense or banged it or done anything that would had damaged it.

I asked for the lense to be replaced and they told me that this was not possible. That their policy would not allow it. I had to go direct to the manufacture who would honor the warranty apparently. The warranty said that it would guarantee the work on the lense where bought from an authorised dealer. They assured me that they were an authorised dealer. I asked them about this twice and they told me twice, including in front of the police, that they were an authorised dealer. I have yet to work out whether they are and will have to go direct to the lense manufacturer to find this out but don't believe they are. As I was concerned about this approach, myself and my party (my boyfriend and his two retired partents) asked for the managers name. He would not give it. He started showing us forms where he had put in complaints about customers. I asked for the company's policy on how a customer could complain and at that point the manager turn nasty. He slammed his hand and arm down on the counter and told us all to leave otherwise he would throw us out and he threatened to call the police. We said that we would be happy for him to call the police. And he did - I didn't really listen to the call but heard him say that we were refusing to leave his shop but were not threatening. My boyfriends mother heard him give his second name and this is the only way we know the manager's name.

The police arrived about 25 - 30 minutes later and we explained our side of the story. They went in and negotiated on our behalf, and spoke with the owner on the phone and came back saying that the owner would meet us the next day. We said fine but could we have his name. At this point the owner agreed to exchange the lense and I walked away. I have since found out that they over changed me by 200 dollors for the zoom lense and they probably did for the wide view too. The point here is this though, that these people were threatening and intimidating, they seem unaccountable and unscupulous. There seems no way of complaining about the company and its practices and no come back for faulty goods which have cost hundreds of dollors. Consumers need to be alerted that if they go in this shop they have no back or rights afterwards according to the company.

I believe I was over charged vastly for the goods I purchased and that I have no valid warrantees or come back on these goods. I also felt threatened, stressed and distressed by the agressive behaviour of the manager because he was asked his name.

I was looking for a digital camera desperately on Christmas Eve. Other stores were closed. I went to this one therefore. This store sold me a Pentax Optio Z10 camera for 299.00. Later I found out that this camera is available at max 149.00 at many other stores. Some even are selling at 82.00. This store charged me almost double of competitive price for the camera. I would have had no problem paying some more (20% more maybe) since the store was open Christmas eve evening.

This is a businees which is cheating everybody right in the middle of Orlando and spoiling the name of this GREAT city. Other suspecting info: 1. The store shows big SONY signboard (You will almost think that this is a SONY outlet) and there are hardly any SONY product. 2. There are also no price tags on any of the product.

I paid 100% more (paid 300.00 for a camera which is actually 150.00). I am also mentally shocked that this can happen in America - I do not really believe it. It has happened though.
