Warren of Minneapolis, MN January 3, 2006 I ordered $2000.00 worth of camera equipment that I received, with no complaints or problems. However I then ordered another lens for $429.00 and was told that it was out of stock and given a date for shipment. This went on for several weeks and I received nothing. When I inquired I was told that it shipped. I waited and then when I didn't receive the lens I called again and was rudely treated, I tried, usucessfully to get my money back and was ignored. They cheated me out of $429.00, which cancelled out the money I saved on the other equipment. I would never buy there again, and would advise others to do the same. This happened about five years ago but I wasn't aware of this complaint site at the time. Vinod of Alexandria, VA November 13, 2004 Placed an order for one Keencut Javelin (80" Cut Length)on 12 October 2004 for a total sum of $475.84. As of today 13, November 2004 have not received the item. A phone call placed on 28, October 2004 assured me of imminent delivery. However, no such luck as of today. Michael of Edmonton, AL August 9, 2004 Note: This company no longer has a store in New York. They have a warehouse at 34 Franklin Avenue, 3rd fl, Brooklyn NY 11205. Back in January 2004 I ordered a Canon Lens from this company and paid the price stated on their website through PayPal. It took 6 weeks and several long distance phonecalls to receive the wrong lens (a cheaper and slower version of the lens I ordered). I sent the lens back after being assured they would send the right lens...but for an additional cost! After paying for duty and postage and waiting another 6 weeks and more long distance calls I received THE SAME inferior lens. The bottom line. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. I have never had a worse consumer experience in my life and if I can spare anyone from this I will be happy. They are incompetent and will not give you your money back. Gene of Fairfax, VA October 31, 2003 On 10/05/03 placed an online order with Cambridge Camera Exchange for tow Tamrac camera bags. I got an instant online receipt and order number for my purchase. After not receiving the shipment for two weeks, I called and the telephone was disconnected. I then called Cambridge Camera World, and was told "Your items have been back ordered, and will be shipped in 10 days. It has now been two more weeks, and I still have not received the items I ordered. I have no idea what the status of my order is, if it will be shipped or not, if I have been charge or will be charged, etc. I will never do business with either Cambridge Camera Exchange or Cambridge Camera World, and I would not recommend that anyone else either. Stan of Jonesboro, GA June 26, 2003 I ordered a Sunpak flash on 6/13/03 from Cambridge. They claim they're doing inventory and their phone lines, fax and internet service is temp out of order, but it's now been 12 days and they still won't answer the phone, fax or email. Their web site says to email them, but I've sent 5 emails and they have not answered a single one of them. I still do not have my flash or even a number to track the shipping. They don't even have an answering machine turned on,there is now no way to get them to respond to any communication.I've never seen such arrogance from a business. John of St. Johnsbury, VT May 30, 2003 I sent a camera in for repair. On the first "effort" it took 18 months to get the camera "repaired"! I paid them $115.00 for the repair and shipping. I received the camera and it would not focus correctly. I called and spoke to a Jeffrey and was told that it would be taken care of. 26 months later after many contact efforts I got the camera returned without the repair having been properly done. I needed a lens and Thomas of CCE said he would send me the lens for what I had paid for the repair. The lens was useful only for a paper weight. I sent it back and after being charged an additional $72.00 on my credit card was shipped a lens that had a diapragm that did not work properly. When I have tried to call the company their phone will not ring. They have ignored e-mails and registered letters are ignored! I want the repair cost and the additional price of the lens refunded to me, a total of $187.00! Report Your Experience
