Guillermo of San Diego CA (07/08/08) Canon never mail us our rebate!
Lana of Lithonia GA (06/13/08) I purchased a Canon Pixma printer soley for the rebate. I sent all of my information in as requsted. I never received my rebate. I contacted them in February stating as such. They said they needed to verify my address and would cancel the rebate card they had sent to me in the mail and would resend another. May arrives and I still haven't received my rebate. I sent another email. Guess what? I received the same response, they needed to verify my address and would cancel the card they placed in the mail and would resend me a new card. It is now June and nothing...
I will NEVER purchase ANYTHING from Canon EVER AGAIN! This is a SCAM and they should be forced to pull their product off the shelf. They pull customers in promising a rebate only to keep your money and give you the run around.
Barbara of Twin Falls ID (05/17/08) In February I purchased a Computer bundel that included a Canon PIXMA multi-function printer. I was told by a Gateway sales person that if I purchased this printer I could recoup the price in a rebate. I was not interested in a printer at the time but when told about the rebate I reconsidered and purchased it. I received the printer several days later and was told the computer would follow two days later. After I received my purchases I got the Applications online for a $20 rebate and a $50 rebate. I attached the proper documentation along with the UPC code from the printer box and sent them to the proper addresses. I received the $20 rebate a few weeks later.
The $50 rebate I kept getting denials. First because I did not include the purchase receipt for the computer as well as the printer. I sent that back along with the proper UPC codes from the printer box. Again I was denied because they said I had not sent the proper purchase documentation. I called Gateway and asked for a copy of the receipt for the products I had purchased in case I had the wrong documentation. They sent the same proof of purchase receipt I had already submitted. So I sent the the documentation again along with a third and last UPC code from the box. I was again denied the rebate because the UPC code was not the right one. Now they have all my UPC codes, I have none left.
So I was told to fax the disclaimer and copyright page from the printer manual as well as the documentation and I did so. I received an e-mail telling me I was not qualified once again. I called costomer service at the rebate center and was given a number to the Canon cooperation that sets the terms of the rebate. I was told that the problem was that the printer had been sent on different shipping receipt. It did not matter that I had purchased the printer with the computer on the same day from the same Gateway representative, with the same order number. I am wondering if Gateway is in on this scam since they profit in some way in the deal.
I truly feel victimized and violated by such a well known Corporation such as Canon. I feel insignificant as a consumer. They care more about the money that they save with this scam, than they do about the consumer that spends the money to keep their company in business. I could not afford the printer but was lured into buying one by the Gateway personel with the promise of a rebate. Is Gateway a part of this scam? I will never buy a Canon product and neither will my friends.
Judy of Tewksbury, MA (05/05/08) I purchased a Canon PIXMA IP3500 Photo Printer for my business from Staples. There was a combined $50 rebate, for which Staples provided all required information for submission. We followed the instructions to the letter. Six weeks later we were advised that we had been denied.
After much emailing to Canon we were told we were denied because we didn't submit a Secondary Proof of Purchase. More emailing ensued before we were finally advised that the Secondary Proof is in bright red, inside the box, on an end flap. How on earth would customers know to look for that? Incredibly enough, the box was still in our attic. On inspection, we found it contained not only a red Secondary Proof, but a purple Third Proof as well. Is this ignorance on Canon's part or a well-crafted effort to avoid paying out the rebates that caused you to buy the product in the first place? Not a nice way to do business!
Jack of Lake Havasu City AZ (05/02/08) I purchased a Canon Pixma MP210 from Staples with a $10.00 rebate coupon. I sent in the rebate receipt that Staples gives out with the purchase and cut the UPC off the box and mailed everything in as instructed. I received notice that my rebate was rejected because the UPC proof of purchase was not included with the rebate request. From reading others with the same experience, I am very disgusted with Canon's rebate promises and feel something sinister is going on.
Joseph of Stuart FL (04/25/08) I sent in a rebate to Canon for 5$, with all the required documents. I received an email and postcard stating I did not send in the UPC. That is a lie. Unfortunately I did not make copies of all the paperwork I sent in. I believe there is a scam going on at Canon and I hope other people don't fall for this scam. I would not purchase a Canon product that has any rebate, ask the retailer to reduce the price because there is a good chance you won't see it.
It's only 5$ but really stupid of them because I was going to purchase a Camera for $600+. Now I am forced to look at another camera. I can't do business with a dishonest company.
William of Imperial Beach CA (04/01/08) On February 18, 2008 I bought a free canon mp210 all-in-one printer with 2 different mail rebates. One is $50 and other is $20 rebate. Recently I got a card in the mail that told me Canon didn't accept my $50 rebate offer because I did not buy any PC OR LAPTOP. But Fry's Electronics store honors that rebate when you just buy a LCD MONITOR.
I just feel very disappoint for the Fry's Electronics store and Canon printer. Please tell them do not lie to the consumer for the free rebates.
Patrick of Enon OH (03/18/08) I purchased a Canon PIXMA MP210 with a rebate offer. Canon refused my rebate saying I didn't return the UPC symbol. I returned every barcode on the box. I also kept a copy of everything I sent. They received the UPC symbol. I also have the unopened product which I plan on returning for a full refund. There's a scam going on and it's hurting Canon and the merchants selling their products.
Dave of Grants Pass, OR (02/26/08) I purchased a Canon camera and utilizing the rebate promotion purchased a printer that they said was going to be free in the end. I sent off the two bar code upc's with the rebate information and received a reply that only one of the rebates would be honored because they did not receive the second UPC.
I know they received it because they were in the same envelope together when I sent it.
I will be taking the Canon products back to Staples and returning them for a full refund.
Robert of West Brookfield MA (02/18/08) I purchased a Canon camera and got a printer with it for free. The two articles provided for a $100 rebate in total. The purchase was made at Staples. I received an email notifying me that I had not returned the application with the proof of purchase seals from the boxes. I returned to Staples with the two boxes showing that the codes had been cut from the boxes. Staples filed a request with its home office to address the situation.
I then forwarded a consumer protection letter to Canon under Massachusetts law (chapter 93A of Mass General Laws) and received both $50 rebates within less than a week. I highly recommend checking with your state about consumer protection statutes that you can use to push Canon to live up to its end of the bargain.
Carl of San Jose CA (02/12/08) Canon has set up their rebate system to cheat consumers out of what is promised to them.
Basically we bought a printer that had a 50 dollar rebate. The printer was the Canon Pixma ip1800 printer. Its a 50 dollar printer that many stores (Fry's) sell with a 50 dollar rebate. If you get the print home and fill out the rebate you will notice not one, but up to 4 UPCs on the box. Well, if you don't send the right UPC to canon they will deny you your rebate.
Somehow, there are four items on the package that are called Proof of Purchase but not all proofs of purchase are considered equal by Canon; if you do not send proof of purchase #1 you are denied. Canon provides these proofs of purchase but designed their process to be difficult and confusing. This is clearly a shady tactic to get people to buy their printers.
The only way to rectify the problem is to send them the UPC they want. If I had room to store a large printer box for several months just in case Canon is shady then I might be able to solve the solution, but really Canon is a horrible corporation. Not only that they do not provide any available means of complaining to them via their websites.
Furthermore, this printer broke within 2 weeks of very low usage. A crappy product they can only sell with a shady deal.
I lost 50 dollars.
Bruce of Santa Rosa CA (02/07/08) I purchased a Canon Powershot A720IS on Amazon.com on Nov. 27, 2007 and was given forms for a $50 rebate, which I submitted Dec. 3, 2007. I sent in everything that was requested and was then notified that my request was denied because I didn't include the upc label off of the box, which was an outright lie. I contacted them several times. I sent them the photos of the rebate form with the UPC attached, a picture of the box with the cutout upc. I haven't heard from them. Just how many persons did this happen to?
It would be quite easy for someone to steal the UPC and use it to get my UPC; sounds to me like a big scam. Is this what happened? Another question: Why isn't someone responding to my requests? Is the person getting these complaints the person who took my UPC? Just what is happening at this Canon rebate center? My next step is to contact someone high up outside the rebate center and see their reaction to this problem. My feelings for Canon now are: I will never buy another one of their products.
Is there a class action going on with this? I know there has to be quite a few persons that this happened to. I would like the $50 I'm due.
Fran of Raymond ME (02/06/08) I submitted 2 rebates on a free printer that I bought in conjunction with the purchase of a Canon camera. There was the initial $50 rebate...which I did receive and a secondary rebate of $20 that I have emailed and sent info on numerous times to simply be denied over and over. The most recent email received from Canon customer service was: ----- Original Message ----- From: John L 9017 Sent: Wednesday, February 06, 2008 3:50 PM Subject: Re: STAPLES CANON Inquiry Dear Canon Consumer: Thank you for contacting Canon USA. This was received in response to an email sent on 1/15.
So that took them 3 weeks. I''m out a $20 rebate--repeatedly denied regardless of information sent.
Linda of Warners, NY (01/14/08) On 10/07 I purchased a Canon Powershot at Staples and was given forms for a $50 rebate. I sent in everything that was requested and was then notified that my request was denied because I didn't include the upc label off of the box. I contacted them several times and told them I could even send them photos of the box with the upc missing off the side.
I was later contacted by a Canon rep who at first seemed quite helpful. She told me to send copies of the owners manual and that should be enough to get my rebate. I did everything she requested only to later receive yet another postcard stating that my rebate was denied.
I am totally disgusted with this company. I used to like Canon products but now I am stuck with a camera that I don't even like and I'm out my $50 rebate.
Dan of Haddam CT (12/13/07) I purchased a Linksys router which came with a promotion for a PIXMA IP1800 photo printer with a $50 rebate making the printer free. The promotion asked for a copy of the receipt, the primary UPC code and their rebate form. The box does not have a primary UPC code so I sent the secondary UPC which had the same numbers they asked for. I later received a card from Canon stating that "The receipt you submitted was dated after the qualifying period for this promotion; Secondary proof of purchase submitted. The primary proof of purchase is required for this promotion is required." They were wrong about the first comment as I sent them the e-mail receipt with the date clearly circled. (and I have copies of this document) As for the primary proof of purchase, there is no primary proof of purchase. I have the box next to me and it has a cut out section where I removed the secondary proof of purchase and there is a third proof of purchase. Am I missing something?
These folks are asking for something that is not even on the box and using this to not pay the rebate. I am now wondering if this is a scam. I used to trust Canon as a retailer, but I will no longer do business with these folks. They have not even responded to my inquiries I sent on their customer service website. I would stay away from Canon rebates!
I ended up buying a printer I really didn't need expecting to receive the $50 rebate. Now I have a printer and no rebate....
Derrill of Oxnard CA (03/20/07) February, 2007 I purchased a Canon 5D digital camera, serial #1721200105, and a professional quality lens, 24-105mm f/4.0L IS, serial #611877. Under Canon advertised offer #CIWC-FA06 I was eligible for a double rebate totaling $700 on my purchase. On about February 18th I mailed in the required correctly filled in form, invoice and warranty copies, as well as the original UPCs for camera and lens per Canon's requirements. March 20th I received a card from Canon stating my rebate request was turned down because I did not send the UPCs and that I could send them and the card by April 22nd for fulfillment. When I called the Canon Rebate center I was indeed told they had no record of receiving the UPCs and that I needed to send either the original UPCs or copies of them. I am unable to do so because I mailed them with all the other required documents. Now, I am out $700.00 and am no longer a faithful Canon customer. I have trusted Canon for some 30 years and now find their integrity in question. I can no longer trust Canon to be reputable. I see on your website numerous Canon customers who've had the same experience. In hope of education other unsuspecting persons, I thought I should raise my issue. Thank you for the opportunity to do so.
Pamela of Spokane WA (03/07/07)
I submitted rebate as outlined in there form (to the tee). Three weeks later received post card saying I didn't send the original UPC code which I did.
Herbert of Mt Kisco NY (12/02/06) In June 2006 I bought a Canon digital camera and a printer. The printer (Pixma iP6220D) cost $150.00 and, when bought at the same time as the camera, came with three $50.00 rebates. So, in effect, the printer was free except for the sales tax. Now, the obvious hooker here is that each of the three rebates requires an original bar code from a box but there are only two boxes. So, on the third one (all go to different PO boxes, of course,) I included a copy of the reqiuired bar code and a letter of explanation.
Without going into too much detail, this is what happened. The first $50.00 came promptly but the other two rbate requests were met with opposition characterized by post cards and emails saying that I hadn't submitted the receipts (I had) and I hadn't submitted the bar codes and then adding new requirements but finally accepting a copied barcode. I one case I had already sent the original barcode and in the other had submitted a copy and a letter as noted above. Finally in October I received a second $50.00 check and about a week ago finally received the third $50.00 check. Fortunately I kept copies of everything I had sent and all emails I had received. It seems to me that most people will give up after a while and that is the whole point of the rebate game. Doesn't speak well for a company that makes excellent products and has good customer support.
Steve of Anderson CA (11/07/06) I bought a computer 5/06 with a $20 rebate from Canon for a printer. I jumped through all the hoops and sent in the information for the rebate, all done within the timeframe. Canon sent me a rebate denial because the information was not on the correct date. BS!! I have all records copied, and after a call to Cannon, everything seemed to be O.K. I just received the $20 rebate Monday, 11/6/06. You guessed it, the rebate was dated 06/13/2006 and void after 09/11/2006.
Tracy of San Jose CA (11/07/06) Canon Rebate: I purchased a Canon Rebel XT camera with a $100.00 rebate. After three months of waiting for the check they said they never received my rebate letter and asked me to fax the form to them. I wait for another three weeks and call them back to check on the status. The rebate center manager (Matt, work# 3167, Phone #877-862-6870) told me that they can't honor the rebate claims because it has already expired.
Canon rebate center messed up my original rebate letter and asked me to go thru a resent process that they never intend to honor the rebate.
Paul of Riverside IL (10/24/06) We purchased a Canon PIXMA MP830 Office-All-In-One Printer on June 19th 2006, order #28187432 and Sku # 202367557 for $244.99,and 24 month Replacement Plan #201630945 for $36.99 at a total of $316.80. We followed the directions for the $50 rebate exactly as instructed and mailed it to: Canon P.O.Box 52902 Phoenix, AZ 85072-2902
We recieved a postcard in the mail from Canon today 10/24/06 informing us that unfortunately they cannot honor our rebate request because they need more than 1 UPC proof tab. I reread the directions and it does not ask for 2 proofs. We submitted exactly what was required. And they want this resubmitted within the next 2 days or is invalid. What kind of phoney business practice is that...they have us jumping thru hoops. Then in the end at the eight hour they say too bad you don't qualify. Deceptive and dishonest. Canon should not be able to promise and renig on their promise in the same breath. I truly hope that you can do something. This is very deceptive.
Tony of South Plainfield NJ (08/25/06) Canon Rebate: I purchased a Canon Rebel XT camera. There is a $100.00 rebate. After two months of waiting for the check they said it was returned. And that the mailing address was wrong. Now I have to wait another six weeks.I just read all the complaints simular to mine. Can nothing be done to force a company to honor its sales claims?
Cheryl of Fairfield, IA (06/02/06) I bought a Canon camera, printer and lens for the triple rebates. I submitted my rebate forms, UPC codes, receipts to Canon rebates. A few months later, a postcard came explaining that a UPC code was missing. I carefully checked all the boxes and there were holes cut out except the printer UPC. So, I re-submit the printer UPC.
A few weeks later, I received a check for $25. I was suppose to receive $420 so I called the rebate center. They told me that all the UPC codes were missing except the printer!
I was furious but I didn't make a copy of the UPC codes that I submitted, so I have no case against them. I am not rich, $420 means a lot to me. I enjoyed Canon products, but was absolutely disappointed and frustrated with the rebate process.
Barbara of Kettering, OH (05/12/06) I have called this company several times, since I mailed the rebate items. The last time I was told the check had been mailed May 10 (two days before my call) and I should allow 30 days to receive it!
I said 30 DAYS!! I know the mail service is not the greatest, but 30 days?
Neel of Stamford CT (04/13/06) I purchased a combination package of digital SLR camera, lens and printer at Costco with a $285 rebate from Canon back in mid-November 2005. All original items required for the rebate (UPC codes from the box, warranty cards, etc) were mailed out on November 29, 2005. In early February 2006, I received a rebate check but for only $5. After calling Canon's rebate phone number, I was told that certain items were missing (meaning they lost some of the items on their end because everything was enclosed in one envelope).
So, on February 21, 2006 I sent in photocopies of my entire submission. A follow up call on March 13, 2006 resulted in me being told to wait another week since there was no record of my resubmission. I called again on March 23 and was told that the resubmission was never received. However, this time the service rep on the phone gave me a fax # to send in my submission. My fax went out on March 27, 2006. On April 3 a check for $285 was mailed to me that I received on April 5. Overall it was frustrating that I had to submit my rebate three times to get the check from Canon.
A few tips for anyone who is also encountering these problems.
1) Keep photocopies of all your submissions and also keep a written record of details regarding any phone calls you make as follow up. Phone # to call Canon about your rebate is 877-862-6870. 2) If you are told to resubmit your rebate, ask them for a Submission ID# to write on your resubmission. 3) If you can fax your resubmission, the fax # they gave me was 800-532-1087 and I was told to indicate Attn: Canon Resubmit Dept.
Jerry of Endicott NY (04/07/06) I purchased a camera, lens, printer from Canon. I mailed all the required information for the rebates. The rebate was for $540. I have sent this in 3 times. I have sent letters and emails.. no response but that they will take care of this. The rebate was mailed 1st in 1/2006. I have copies of everything that was sent. Knowing from the camera forums that there were problems with Canon.. I ensured that each item was correct before I mailed it.
Debbie of Sherwood OR (03/24/06) I submitted all the paperwork for a Canon triple rebate immediately after purchasing the camera. I was suppose to receive $285 but only received $75. I was told that they didn't have the UPC of one of the items even though it was on the receipt with the other items. I explained that it was all in the envelope, the holes were in the boxes where the UPC codes sat and the UPC numbers also written down on the forms I sent.
They said it could have been lost at their office since they are small pieces of cardboard or it could have been left in the envelope that was thrown out. I was told he'd note that in the file and I should resubmit. I did that and received a check for $15 more. Now the rebate has closed and I'm out the $195.
Tim of San Juan Capistrano CA (02/16/06) Well it now appears that others stated frustration with Canon is warranted. I bought a Canon 20D camera along with 2 lenses for about $2800 thru Costco based on a "great" rebate they were offering totalling $390. After carefully submitting all the paperwork and calling to confirm all required docs prior to sending, I just receiveda postcard (which could easily be discarded as junk mail of not carefully sorting your mail) statint that I failed to submit the warranty card. Funny, as all documents were stapled together and there were actually 4 warranty cards included in my submission.
I am shocked with the methods that such a well-respected camera company has stooped to to sell product. Thankfully, if I do not receive my rebate I will be returning all my equipment to Costco. I will follow up on my second attempt at attaining what was promised by Canon. Shame on you Canon! I will certinly tell everyone I know about this.
David of Fort Payne AL (02/03/06) I submitted the required items for a $50 rebate after buying a DVD camrecorder for my wife for Christmas. I know without a doubt that I submitted everything needed, but just received a card stating the rebate was denied because failure to include the serial number and the original bar code. I can resubmit the serial number, but of course since they require the original bar code (which was sent with the rebate card), I am screwed. I searched on the internet to see if this was an anomaly or a common occurrence. The internet is filled with complaints so I plan to fight back.
I am out $50. That will not destroy my budget, but it is mainly the principle of the matter. Besides, $50 is $50. I plan to submit a complaint to the applicable state attorney general and to the BBB.
Rickof Davis CA (02/01/06) I purchased 3 Canon products to qualify for the triple rebate promotion. I submitted all the required paperwork (sales receipts, warranty cards, UPC Code cutouts, rebate forms) for all three products. Canon first told me all my submitted materials were fine except for one warranty card that "was not received" for the printer. They said to wait two weeks, call back and we could handle it over the phone. I called back two weeks later and they said I had to call back again if I didn't get an error letter in the mail within ten days. I called back and they said they would handle the issue over the phone and everything was now settled. I would get my check for $75 in 8 weeks. I asked why $75 and they said the lens I purchased didn't qualify.
I called back and went over with them the lens purchase and they said that the lens I bought had a "U" and the one that qualified did not. I argued and was told there was nothing they could do. I then inquired about the Camera and Printer rebate and they told me they had "no record" that I submitted a claim for a printer and I was welcome to resubmit. This is a total scam on the consumer. Canon has lost a good customer.
My rebate should be worth $285. I am told I am getting $75.
Richard of Bellmore NY (12/31/05) I have submitted all my forms and paper work for my $50.00 rebate gor my canon printer in October. I still have not received my rebate. New York State law that took effect September 1, 2005 states I must receive said rebate in six week. I am going to file paper with the NY AG hope they will fine them the $1000.00 the law states. It is also up to us that if this is the way canon acts then maybe we as consumers should stop buy canon products.
Diane of Brick NJ (12/08/05) On December 21, 2004 I purchased a Canon Digital Rebel SLR 6mp for $999.99. I received a rebate receipt and a rebate form. In order to receive a $100.00 rebate I needed to send Canon several items. (which I have copies of) The receipt states that I will need to wait at least 8 weeks to get my rebate. Stupid me, I did not call until much later when i realized I did not get my rebate. Customer service told me to resend it. ( My first call to them was in August and then in October) I called again today (sorry, but I am so busy) Only to be told that they cannot do anything for me because the rebate requests for this camera is closed.
They said they did not receive my documents and they cannot be held responsible for lost items in the mail. (we have to ship to a PO Box so there is not way to track mail) I understand that they could lose it once, but twice? I spend over $1300.00 that day. Do I want to rip someone off for $100.00? No, but they do. I am so angry that I cannot get any assistance nor have I been able to from previous calls to them. I just want them to honor my request and pay me the $100.00 rebate. Can you please help me. I am very fustrated and feel like it was all a scam. Thank you
Randolph of Troy MI (12/06/05) I recently purchased a Canon Pixma printer, which came with a $50 rebate when purchased with a laptop computer. I mailed in all the required info (the next day), which included the bar-coded rebate form, copy of dated sales reciept, and the original UPC code cut from the shipping carton. I was sent an email notification explaining that my rebate would not be honored because the UPC info was not received (I still have the unopened box the UPC code was cut from). Companies that make a policy of lies and theft from consumers for short-term profit are doing nothing for the future of thier brand image. I will soon be purchasing a new digital camera - certainly NOT one from Canon!
Laura of Bellingham WA (11/19/05) Based on a rebate offer of $70.00, I purchased a Canon Pixma photo printer and power shot camera in 4/05. I promptly filed the necessary paperwork. Expecting my rebate within 6-8 weeks as they said, I made contact with Canon in August '05 when it had not yet arrived. They replied that it was mailed in 6/05 but "lost in the mail" and a new check would be issued. They said it would take another 6-8 weeks. In October I contacted them again, as it had not arrived. They again said it was "lost in the mail" and a new one would be issued. I have now been waiting 7 months for my rebate.
I have made numerous phone and e-mail contacts with the company to no avail. In November, I received, again, two different e-mails saying that my request was "lost in the mail" and a new check would be issued. They will not give me a physical address to send a certified letter, nor does any phone number they give me actually allow me to talk to a "real" person. I have filed a complaint with the Consumer Complaint Division of the Attorney General/Washington State.
B.j. of Jacksonville IL (10/20/05) In February I purchased a Canon Pixma iP4000. I was entitled to a $20 rebate and sent in all the documentation except the UPC symbol on the box. After being notified of my mistake, I called and was told to send in the symbol which I did. Weeks later, still no rebate. On emailing, I was told to send in various documentation, personal information etc. which I did including copies of all the email correspondence. I sent this information by certified mail at the cost of nearly $5 and have the return receipt dated 8/29/05. I still don't have the rebate.
I'm at a loss as to what to do next. $20 is not a lot of money but the company's failure to fulfill their end of the bargain in spite of my following iinstructions brings their ethics into question. I won't buy any more Canon products unless and until this is resolved.
Robert of Austin TX (09/27/05) I purchase a Canon ZR300 Camcorder on line from Beach Camera. It had a $50 rebate that I sent in to Canon USA/RebateHQ. I cut the serial # with the bar code of of the box they were attsch to each other. They could not get one without the other. They email saying they did not get the serial #. I fill out the form to the letter.

Greg of Rock Island IL (1/11/05):
I recently purchased a Canon Digital camera ($1500) and lens. The camera came with a $100 rebate. After mailing in ALL the required info, which included the bar-coded rebate form, copy of dated sales reciept, copy of UPC code and body/lens numbers, copy of the customer portion of the Canao USA warranty card with body and lens number and the original cut-out product name from the top of the box (whew!) I was sent a letter explaining my rebate would not be forthcoming because all the info was noy received.
How can I prove otherwise? My advice is be wary of Canon rebates. After making you jump through hoops to submit for a rebate, actually getting it is another matter. Besides the time and effort, I'm only out the $80.00. I hope Canon thinks it was worth it. They'll never get another dime from me.
