Matt of Fresno CA (10/24/04):
I ordered a camera from Gazma.com. Two days after I ordered it, they called me and tried to sell me various accessories. I declined and said to just send the camera. After waiting for about a week I called for the status of the order. They said that the camera had been backordered, and would not be ready to ship for 6-8 weeks. At this point I cancelled the order and asked for a refund, which I recieved about a week later. Then, about a week after recieving the refund, I was charged again. When I called to findout what had happened I found that the phone number was no longer working, and the website was no longer available. I contacted my bank, as I had paid with a debit card. After going through the process with the bank, I was told that there was nothing they could do.
As a result of my dealings with Gazma.com, I lost about $300.
Nate of Newark NJ (10/7/04):
They took my money via debit card and told me that unit was available. A few days later they said that it was being shippped. A week later they told me I'd have my camera within 10 days. After 10 days they sent me an email telling me that a refund was being processed. About three weeks after the initial order my card was credited. On 10/1 they charged my card for $879.99 w/o authorization and now they have vanished.
