Allegiance Telecom

Martin of Fairview, NJ November 18, 2008

Martin of Fairview NJ (11/18/08)
This number keeps calling my cell phone and when I answer there is nobody on it. When I attempt to call back I am prompted to stay on the line for an operator which never comes on. This is becoming quiet annoying and harassing. My phone number is listed on the government DO NOT CALL LIST so why am I receiving these calls. A look up of the number on fonefinder shows the number comes back to listed to Allegiance telecom of New Jersey out of Union City, NJ

Penny of Richmond, VA November 9, 2008

Penny of Richmond VA (11/09/08)
When I answered the phone an operator came on and said my credit card has been temporarily suspended and in order to reactivate it I would have to give some information. Then the proceeded to ask me for my credit card number. When I hit 0 for the operator nothing happened. I have no clue who they are. I looked them up on the reverse look up in the white pages and they are in New York, they have servel companies. When I tried to call them back from my cell phone it said the person's voice mail was full and I could not leave a message. Did not give me a name of the company nor the name of the person. I think this is odd considereing I have not used my credit card on line and never do and I still have all of my credit cards. I think this company is a scam and they need to be stopped.

Eileen of Wells MN (10/15/08)
I have been receiving calls on my cell phone. Several times a day, no one answers me and when I call the number back, it isn't in service. There must be something that can be done to stop this business from interrupting so many people's lives. I too am looking for work and need to give my cell phone number for when I am not at home.

I have my phone set to block all calls not on my contacts set in my phone. But the minute I take the block off, the calls start again from this place. What gives? Don't we have rights? My cell phone provider says my only recourse other than the put the block on my phone is to change my cell number. That will be very difficult when I have given my current number to various potential employers, not to mention contacting all my friends and family to have it changed. Please help!

Richard of Davison, MI October 7, 2008

Richard of Davison MI (10/07/08)
Receiving calls on my cell phone (15 or more a day). Most of the time no one will talk to me, If they do I can't understand any thing they say. Have asked them to stop calling and than they call me even more often. I have no idea why they are calling.

Have to turn my cell phone off when in public area.

My cell phone has rung continuouly today beginning around 11:30 a.m. The number calling is an Allegiance customer; however, when checking the number I'm told it is no longer in service. Please do something to stop this annoyance!
