Flycell

Linda of Parma, OH August 1, 2009

Recently signed a 2 yr contract with Verizon including internet service. They advertised free ringtones which I tried to download. Did not recieve any ringtones, but did recieve text message saying I subscribed to Flycell.com monthly service. Cancelled immediately because I did not want the service. Verizon bill arrives in the mail with a charge for 9.99 for flycells subscription service. Contacted Verizon who told me to talk to flycell. Called flycell and was told that they would absolutely not refund my money even though I never used any service or received any ringtones from them.

Brenda of Byram, MS July 22, 2009

I downloaded a phone ring tone from a site I joined. I did not even know I had reached the flycell site until I rec'd a charge for 19.95 on my phone bill. I went into the site and thought I had canceled the membership and just got a charge on my next phone bill. I was told the web site can only cancel newletter. THIS IS A RIP OFF. I did not authorize charge would not have made the download if I had know I was on a different site. When I called Flycell they told me there was nothing they could do about charges even though I didn't use the site after the first download when I didn't even know I was on it.

Linda of Waterbury, CT July 16, 2009

Once a week a get a text message claiming to be from New Haven Lexus advertising Flycell ringtone service.

It costs me money every time I get a text that is why I don't text and I hate the intrusions and interruptions. They have no permission to call my cell or text me.

Vicki of Stillman Valley, IL July 15, 2009

Flycell charged a 19.99 charge to my cell phone as I unknowingly signed up for their service. Evidently, I put my phone number in a web site that I shouldn't have and received this charge on my bill. I did receive a text message to cancel and I did so immediately. Flycell gives no refunds because they say I agreed. Obviously from the complaints I am not the only one duped in their scam to collect money. I do not consider myself computer illiterate and I was not aware that if I entered my phone number on a test for my IQ that was doing on line that is connected to facebook that I would be charged a 19.00 charge.

Lindsay of Austin, TX July 15, 2009

In May, I entered my cell phone number and clicked a button to get a FREE ringtone online. I never received the ringtone and figured it was an iphone error. This month (June) I noticed that I had a 19.99 charge on my cell phone bill from something called "Flycell." That seemed weird to me so I looked back and they charged the same amount in May also. I found the customer service number and called Flycell to cancel my subscription and told them I never authorized it in the first place. I never received any actual product or service from Flycell, only 2 monthly charges that I did not know about.

Kelen of Woodstock, GA July 7, 2009

I did an IQ test online on 04/29/09. Rec'd text welcoming me to flycell. Was told it was going to cost me 19.99/ mo for service. To cancel, it said text cancel to a phone number. I did so immediately. Rec'd confirmation text stating I was no longer subscribing. Got cell phone bill, billed 19.99 on 04/30/09.

Bernice of St. Charles, MO June 29, 2009

I started getting what I thought was "spam" mail on my cell phone from them but then found out that somehow they initiated their ringtone service on my cell phone, thus charging my telephone account with a 19.99 monthly charge. I called them and they told me that I had responded to a text message, checking a box labeled "subscribe" to their services. This is untrue. I did receive a text from them, which I immediately deleted, thinking this was a spam mail. They canceled my account, which I verified through my phone company. I did some online searching and it looks like so many other people are having this same problem.

Beverly of Belton, TX June 29, 2009

I continue to get caught up in Fly Cell and I am not sure how to keep these charges from appearing on my AT&T cell phone bill since I do not engage in any on the FLY Cell products. I am ready to cancel my AT&T account.

Betty of Pittsburgh, PA June 29, 2009

I have attempted to cancel flycell three times and am still getting messages from them. Please cancel and do not charge my phone with any amount or I will have my lawyer contact you. The first cancellation wa the same day I signed up to play the gme that was I not informed about any charge until. after I signed up or I never would of played the game. I have not been able to talk to any person. The number I call always has a recording. This makes be believe this is a scam.

John of Carriere, MS June 23, 2009

While viewing my current ATT bill, an additional charge came up. I never charge anything through my phone service except using paypal on the internet. Turns out to be FLYCELL. This may have happened on facebook. Although I never completed the information to Subscribe to anything.(IQ test). just playing the game. What low life.
