Zingo Telecom is a digital telephone service offered through your Internet high speed connection with competitive rates to local digital phone services. They also offer 800 and virtual numbers on their web site with additional costs as expected. When I chose to request a virtual number, the company's auto reply stated that they have received the request and I will be contacted shortly. Eight consecutive months of requests were made with no communication from customer service whatsoever.
The phone bills fluctuated in price that began as advertised @14.99/mo to a current 25.99/mo. with no written warning. There was no problem with rising rates, but the lack of help when service did not work or was interupted due to a technicality was a problem. I recently mailed a written notice as well as e-mail stating that another local company offered the same service and at the same rate and that I would have to switch if the lack of communication continues and still no response.
Again I made an effort via e-mail, but stated that I will send their information to you as well as BBB and I just received a response to my request eight months ago. It is too late now because I have just agreed to another service to be set up on the 24th of Dec. I realize that I may not have a case but a legitimate complaint. I would like that consumers are aware that this company offers a service at a competitive rate, but will do nothing to help when systems fail, but will never forget to collect money for each month.
I sustained rising costs for service that was not provided. In my case from 14.99 to 25.99 in the course of two years.
