Amy of Colorado Springs writes:
Basically, after being overcharged almost $200 over the course of three months, I asked to be refunded the money lost. While they did credit me $40 and a month free, I was still overcharged. I was given the run around by Compuserve's customer service department, account cancellation department, and four managers/supervisors.

I did not receive any further refunds, one of the male managers called me "honey". I was hung up on three times, yelled at and told I was stupid. I spent many hours of time on the phone with these people, leaving me angry and hurt that I was being treated like a moron. I have had to cancel my debit card and have it replaced, I have also had to freeze my credit card for fear they will charge me again.

Beating is too good for these people. They're not worth losing any more sleep over. Amy should ask her credit card and debit card companies to issue her new cards with different numbers and be very, very careful who she gives those numbers to in the future.
If she wants to fight on, she could sue the company in Small Claims Court.
