Norman of New Lebanon, OH August 30, 2009

I bought a eMachine and was very happy with it at first, I wanted to upgrade to 2 GB of ram and ordered the chips. I recieved the chips and they worked for a short time. Then one day got the "blue screen of death" and it wouldn't work anymore. I called the company and they said to send it to them for repair. It came back and I booted it up and had the very same blue screen. I talked with them again, and sent it back, mind you this is costing me for shipping each time. I got it back and believe it or not it didn't work AGAIN. I called and was not very polite, they put a technician on and he asked if there were any modification to the unit. I told him about the 1GB upgrade from them and he instructed me to remove the chip and try again. I did and IT WORKED PERFECTLY. I was so upset about how all of this worked out and the money I had spent on all of the "So Called" repairs. I will never buy another eMachine or accessories. And I will let everyone know that about to buy one too. I have already let a few people know while I have been shopping and see them looking at the eMachine. DON'T buy one...

rose of houston, TX August 21, 2009

My computer is not showing the words correctly, everything is fuzzy. I suppose to had some sort of security system on here...comes to find out I had been had a virus. I noticed that some sites and configurements had alreadt been used. Some of my games had already high scores on them, and this is a computer that I'd gotten out of the box. I spent right at 400.00 for it! I had to take it to the shop and get a virus out of it that had been there for a while!

Charles of Farmdale , OH August 21, 2009

I purchased a desktop Emachine in March. I was awakened by my smoke alarms at 2:00am. The computer's power supply burned up nearly causing a fire. I sent it back to Emachine for repair. A few days later my wife received a call from their customer service Rep. She stated to my wife a liquid was spilled on the computer causing the power supply to blow and they need 200.00 to repair it.

This computer sat on top of a desk in a room where we dont allow food or drinks. It is not possable to have spilled anything on it. It is just my wife and I living in the home. Also the junk wasn't even turned on when it burned up.

I then contacted customer service myselfe. I was told there was a brown substance inside the junk. I explained to her there was no brown [substance] on or in it when I sent it and it's not possable any liquid was spilled on it and

I also told her I did some looking around on the internet and they seem to have an on going problem with there power supplys and asked if this was how they handle all power supply problems, just dump liquid in it and make their customers pay to fix it. I'm shure you know this didn't help. I asked her why would I spend another 200.00 to fix a product that the Manufacturer doesnt stand behind. Cost 40.00 to send back. And I spent 500.00 for a paperweight.

JOSEPH of NEWBURGH, NY July 21, 2009

I asked for customer support for my Adobe Reader and they said I would need to register the computer. I did this 2 times with a fax and they say they did not receive it.. When I ask for a phone number to verify the fax has been sent they say that I need to wait 24 hrs after the fax to process the form. I have done this 2 times and keep coming up with the same answer...over and over again.

ron of Fresno, CA July 20, 2009

I have an emachine W3107 and it got viruses. I reloaded the machine with the restoration CD and the chipset and network drivers are not on the CD. I asked for a new restoration CD and Emachines told me I am out of warranty and there is nothing they can do. I downloaded the drivers from thier web site and these do not work either.

edith of pelham, NC June 18, 2009

Shari of Palm coast, FL June 6, 2009

Computer was purchased at Walmart. After 1 month it failed to work. Walmart gives 15 days for return/refund. I contact tech support for the computer b/c it's still under warranty and the tech support is in India. I can not understand them. The box the computer came in said "100% North American Tech support". What a lie. The people on the phone are polite, but the way they speak it is hard to decipher what they are saying. I am really annoyed and felt like I was cheated.
