Caress Body Oil

lee of enfield, CT July 28, 2009

I have used caress exotic oil infushion body wash (japenese) only twice. I used it for the second time just last week...and now am convinced that the 2 cigar-looking burns on my legs were from using this product. I had 2 mysterious, large welts...and in hindsight, remember getting 3 smaller ones the first time i used it..but didn't connect the two. I took a picture on my cell phone and have numerous witnesses...but did not go to the doctors as i thought would be a waste of time. I self treated them by washing them and using cortaid. A week later they are a little better, not as large, but will surely scar.

Cynthia of Austin, TX January 4, 2009

I used the Caress Exotic Oil Infusion Moroccan Body wash after purchasing it in 2007. I developed a severe skin rash and my skin started peeling off. I researched the product and found that it was manufactured on 02/02/07, but I purchaed it December 2007. It was packaged as a Christmas Gift with other Caress products when I purchased it at the store. I was told by a Caress representative that the body wash only has a shelf life of a 11 months after manufacture date, and less if it is not stored properly.

I believe that this Caress Exotic Oil Infusions Moroccan Body Wash had become ineffective as a body wash, and had become poisonous chemicals, which would explain my skin being burned and scarred.

Using this product caused severe and possible irreversible damages to my skin. After seeing 3 doctors, I have now been diagnosed with post inflammatory hypopigmentation. My skin was literally burned off my body. I am constantly stared at, have spent hundreds of dollars buying makeup to cover up, which rubs off, and have to limit my time in the sun. I am presently have PUVA treatments to hopefully restore my skin color.
