Covergirl

Sandra of Baltimore MD (03/14/09)
Simply put, Rihanna should no longer be a spokeswoman for your company. As the mother of impressionable daughters, it's hard enough to instill what is acceptable and what is not. While it is Rihanna's decision that she has chosen to go back to her abuser, it's not what Covergirl should be promoting to women of all ages. By keeping her on as spokeswoman and contiuning to run her ads, you are telling the women of America that you agree with her choice. Shame on you, and until the ads are pulled, I will no longer purchase anything from your company, nor will I allow my daughters to.

The physical damage could come at the cost of any woman who stays in an abusive relationship because they see no consequences for Rihanna.

Cover Girl is sending the worst possible message to young women and young men as well by condoning and/or putting ones head in the sand... Have they forgotten that there is no exuse for abuse? The media has a moral obligation to it's viewers as the majority of viewers are easily swayed by what they see on television. The message that these young people are seeing in their commercials is that it is ok to be battered or be a batterer and profit from it!

Just the other day I tossed a young man out of my home who felt that it was cool to be verbally abusive in his demeanor and this is what the media has portrayed! Until Rhianna is removed from the Cover Girl commercials, I will not buy their products nor will I let my friends buy it either. FYI, this is a perfect oppertunity for Cover Girl to take a moral stand publicly and announce in their commercials that they do not condone domestic violence of any nature.

How do I return some bad makeup. I bought a powder compact over Christmas at a CVS store. I didn't keep the receipt. I took it out to start using it and it is like sand. It leaves actual crystal sand like type stuff all over my face. It isn't smooth. I just want my money back...as I used it once--how do I go about sending it to them? I do not see a Covergirl contact button on their website? Seems like they would want this one back.

The professional all-in-one black mascara (purchased brand new from local CVS) was completely dried out and would not even adhere to eyelashes. What a ripoff!

No, I did not keep the receipt as the package was sealed and I would have never thought the merchandise would be defective and unusable. With a loss of nearly 7 during these times, that is nothing to sneeze at for working people who have come to know and trust certain brands. I am very disappointed in CoverGirl products now.

Yesterday I saw the new COVER GIRL commercial with Ellen Degeneres. I love Ellen and agree that she is beautiful, but I was APPALLED at what came out of her mouth. Inner beauty is important, but outer beauty is more important. SAY WHAT?

Is this what Cover Girl wants to present to their consumers? CG cosmetics are reasonably priced, so I would imagine that their line is aimed at teenagers and young women. How DARE they try to get girls to believe that outer beauty is more important than inner beauty? They are completely undermining what mothers and teachers are trying to teach girls, that inner beauty is more important. I WILL NO LONGER BE PURCHASING ANY COVER GIRL PRODUCTS. I cannot believe you are pushing a line like that on women.
