Dermitage Anti-Aging System

Michellana of Andover, MA July 9, 2009

I have very sensitive skin and ordered Dermitage after seeing an ad online (it was a "free trial", right? What's there to loose?) The product arrived while I was away and I didn't actually open or use it until after the 14th day and I didn't see the "return in 14 days" because this disclaimer is stuff in among a bunch of other materials about how great their product is. But, I was willing to "eat" the 92 charge since I figured it was my fault for not realizing that free didn't really mean free for Dermitage. About 2 weeks later, I get another 92 charge on my card from them- thought it was a mistake. When I called, they informed me that they had shipped another box of the product. I said I don't want it and I'll send it back without opening when it arrives.

Then the person I spoke with spent a lot of time trying to convince me why I should continue using Dermitage (very hard sell). After several times saying I don't want the product because it wasn't worth 92, she says that all sales are final therefore Dermitage can't/won't take the product back- I have to keep it. I have NEVER heard of a company that stands by their product that won't take it back- All the reputable companies in the beauty industry will take back their products if the customer isn't satisfied. I've taken back opened/used foundation to Lancome when I had an allergic reaction to it- Not only did they take it back, they helped me find other products I could use.

I told Dermitage that their sneaky underhanded practices are exactly the reason I don't want their product and I will post my dissatisfaction every chance I get. I hope they are happy with their 184 of my money because I'm hoping my posting will stop at least 10 people from being scammed by them.

Diana of Hicksville, NY July 8, 2009

On 1/9/09 I ordered a trial size tube of Dermitage anti-aging face cream. After I received it, used it I broke out, so on 1/19/09 I sent it back. They acknowledge this. On 1/9/09 they charged my Discover 4.95 then another 1.00 for the trial size. On 1/29/09 they charged my account 99.95 for the cream. They already had their cream back by then. I called in Feb. they said they will credit me, then I called in March and they said they were working on it. I went on vacation for two and a half months from the middle of April and came home June 29. I called them today and now they tell me I never called and now its to late to be credited. I could have the cream back. I can't use it, I don't want it, its why I sent it back to begin with. I want my 99.95. I realize I lose the 4.95 and the other crazy 1.00 they charged me, but 100 is just nuts to give them for nothing. No service, no merchandise, no coupons. Nothing and they get 100. I'd like a job like that.

I ordered the Dermitage free trial kit. I didn't like the product (itching red eyes) and returned it to the address they provided with the return merchandise number on the box in large numbers. I am currently being told they did not receive the box and am being charged for a product I returned. They are continuing to charge my credit card when I no longer have their product. They continue to say they did not receive my return. A true scam.

I just applied and paid for the free trial!! Didn't know it was a scam til after I already paid! I already checked my bank account and the shipping charge already shows up. If I cancel my card before the other charges can they still charge me the 99 or the restocking fee of 20 ?

I filled out information for a free trial but didn't even submit it and the next day got a confirmation the order was confirmed. I called the next morning to cancel and was told it already shipped. I requested a cancellation of any further orders and was told by Shayna it was cancelled. They charged my credit card 89.95 even though I was only supposed to pay shipping on the free trial. I have since read multiple complaints online of similar experiences with this company. Now I have to go to my credit card company and see if I can stop these charges.

I too, ordered the FREE Trial size on line...but I feel Very Fortunate. My credit card called me, I in turn, called Dermitage. I paid 4.95 for shipping, had the trail size 8 days, and was charged 89.95. they did cancel all pending deliveries, I asked IF they were sending me one more shipment. she said NO...you already receive it. Meaning the FREE trial size. So the trial WASN'T Free it cost me 94.90 but I got it stopped!
