Karen of La Verne, CA November 23, 2009 I learned a valuable lesson. There is no trial size at a reduce rate for the product. As a consumer, you fill out the paperwork online but of course you are not looking for the fine print. You have no reason to scroll all the way down to the bottom of your screen because all the information you provide is at the top. I will never order any sort of "trial size" anything again. Allison of Denver, CO November 21, 2009 I signed up for the free offer for the Purely White Teeth Whitener. I gave my credit card to cover shipping, and the next thing I knew, I was signed up a regular shipment. This information is found under the Terms and Conditions at the bottom of the website and doesn't show up on my Mac, unless I scroll to to bottom. I spent quite some time having to find out why I received the shipment and to cancel my membership. I have not seen the refund yet and so insult to injury, they charge a 20% restocking fee. Claire of Thornton Cleveleys, United Kingdom November 21, 2009 These companies gained my credit card details without my consent and have made multiple charges to my account. i have contacted my bank and they have disputed every transaction ever made by this company. this company does not give proper terms and conditions on their website, i spent hours searching the sites to find contact details to complain. I have since then emailed the compaines and have threatened them with legal action for obtaining my details by deception. Rosamund of Brockenhurst, United Kingdom November 21, 2009 I signed up for a trial costing 1.95. They have now started to take money out of my bank account without me being aware that I have authorised anything. I have not received any product from them. They have taken an additional 99.95 out of my bank account. This theft may continue for all I know. Michael of Epsom, United Kingdom November 20, 2009 I, like many others fell for the scam of ordering their sample product unaware of their intention to use that to fool one in to charging for unwanted products in the future. I have been informed by email today that they are sending me an undisclosed item at a cost of 99.99. I am unable to reply to their email and cancel it as theirs is a 'no reply' email address. I was not aware that they could charge my credit card when ever they wished. miss of elgin, United Kingdom November 20, 2009 i was scamed like everyone else i went for the trial tooth whitening products now they debiting my acct. i trying to stop them! really cruel gregory of palmdale, CA November 19, 2009 they ran a promo ad with no strings attached on the internet and charged 1.95. several months later, they are not trying to charge 95 for some membership that i did not join. i am now trying to stop them from charging Claudette of Birmingham, United Kingdom November 19, 2009 I recently posted my complaint to this web site explaining my experience with the Company Purely White. I Called the company on the 16th Nov 09 to get a refund and I am PLEASED to say that on 19 Nov 09 I received a full refund, the only difference was that exchange rate had changed in the mean time so, I received £51.76 instead of the initial £56.58 so there is a small difference, which I shall put down to experience, and a lesson learnt! The telephone number for Purely White is: 001 877 276 5814. The address is: 5300 Ontario Mills PKWY #400, ONTARIO, CALIFORNIA, 91764. Also remember if you are going to call that the US is 7 hours behind UK, time. I hope this information will help anyone out there who, found them self in the same situation as me. Good Luck Claudette of Birmingham, West Midlands. UK, United Kingdom November 17, 2009 I applied to buy Purley White, from the website(trypurelywhite.com) I completed my details and submitted the form. The cost of the product was 5.95 (£3.85), which i thought was reasonable, I received a conformation e-mail of my order, which I was unable to reply to. It was not until I was checking my bank statement that I noticed that an additional sum of money had been taken from my account, 89.95 (£56.58). I immediately called my bank to ensure no further deductions could be taken from my account, they were unable to assist me in doing so, and informed me that this company could continue to take money from my account, even though I did not want to subscribe to their product.I went back to the web site and found the following site for customer service(support@mycustomerservice.net)I sent them an E-mail requesting a refund, they replied to my e-mail explaing thier procedure which lead them to taking £56.58 from my account. It was very informative but would have been better served on the initial web site in large script so that people know what they are actually signing up for before giving out personal bank details. I also got a phone number from the e-mail(001 877 276 5814), The following is part of the e-mail they sent to me: "(The terms and condtions are as follows: When You order the Purely White 10-day risk-free trial, Your credit card will be charged only 5.95 for shipping and handling of a 1-month supply of Purely White. Your 10-day trial begins when You place Your order. If You are happy with Your Purely White, do nothing and Your credit card will be charged an additional 89.95 approximately 11 days after You place Your order)." I called the number, I was told that, I had agreed to the monthly subscription as explained in the terms and conditions mentioned above in the e-mail I received. I explained that I had not seen these Terms & Conditions on the web site and would not have agreed to the purchase if I had known I would be obligating my self to an even larger monthly subscription of 95.90,this would have been the next amount they would have taken from my account. After calling customer services, I have been assured that i will get a refund of £56.58 in a few days, and the subscription has now been cancelled. The Rep informed me that this was a goodwill gesture. I believe that this company is inadvertently misleading people into subscribing to their product, which in the first instance appears to be a great bargain, but once you have received your product, you quite obviously think that the transaction is complete, but by doing nothing you are actually unknowingly subscribing to a monthly supply for quite a large amount of money. There is also another Company which operate in a similar way called Dazzle Smile, in my opinion they are not to be trusted either. Phoumano of Dayville, CT November 16, 2009 Do not do any business with Purely White! They will only rip you off. I responded to an ad I saw on MSN to a free trial of a teeth whitening product. Saying all I had to do was pay 1.95 for shipping to try their product. I ended up paying the 1.95 and another 89.95 was deducted from my account a few days after. This is business built on scam. There needs to be laws to prevent them from preying on consumers. Don't make the same mistake as I did. This company is dis-honest. Don't give them a penny. Report Your Experience
