Revlon
Curling iron
Eyelash curler
Lipstick
Mascara
Nail enamel remover
Straightening iron
Hot air styler

Revlon may think its products are red hot but some customers are not amused. The various irons -- curling, straightening and whatever -- tend to burn off one's hair (and skin). The other nostrums -- well, who knows what they do?

Rick of Simi Valley, CA May 8, 2009

My wife had purchased the Revlon 1500 Tourmaline Ceramic hair dryer/curler several months ago. Recently she was using the dryer and it sparked throwing a hot ember down her blouse burning her back. The GFI (breaker)on the dryer never worked and it fact if plugged in right now the instrument will get hot and start smoking without tripping the built in breaker.

I have had three of the Revlon curling irons separate and the buttons fall through the holes. The last iron I had for one week ! I thought that Revlon was a reputable brand but after my experience and others that I have read - it seems to not be the case.

wasted approx. 60 on curling irons kept curling iron that was only a week old to send back to complaint center at revlon but can find no address.

Age Defying All Day Lifting Foundation...SPF/FPS 20

My face turned bright red, itched and felt like it was burning up. I need for Revlon to get this product back so they can figure out what is wrong with it.

began using revlon luxuriou masascara about a month ago and eyes have itched ever since. did not connect the itching with the mascara until a couple of days ago when i went for the weekend without using the mascara. Whooo. NO ITCH. Just to be sure, I put on the mascara and within 30 minutes I was itching again. In addition, the amount in the tube seems to last only about a month. That seems rather expensive at the cost of the product. Unfortunately I do not have my receipt to tell the exact date of purchase. On the tube of the mascara are some numbers - EU3098 4099-03. I am not really expecting a reply from such a large company for such a small complaint. I will no longer feel comfortable purchasing any of [their] products. I do not have money enough to go through trial and error.

Because of the itching and hence the eye rubbing, I scratched the eyeball. Fortunately it was just a minor surface scratch and had no bad results. BUT I am really upset about the fact that in good faith I bought the product never anticiapting in this day of modern sience that such a familiar type product would not be absolutely allergy free. If it does have the allergy free proerties, then there must be something else wrong with the product. Nothing this common to every day use for a woman should cause this type of result.

REVLON HAIR DRYER MODEL #RV 483 I bought this hair dryer approximately 12-18 months ago and have had no prior issues. Today was drying my air and all of a sudden (and all at once) I felt a tremendous shock, flames & sparks and what seemed to be bits of plastic came flying out of the handle with incredible force. The results were that the right side of my hair was singed, my hand shocked, and there is a burn on my arm. I was able to keep myself in control enough to yank the plug out of the wall while throwing the hair dryer into the bathtub which was to the right of me. There is a burned area out of the cord that is just outside of the plastic where the hair dryer begins. WHAT A PAINFULL & FRIGHTENING EXPERIENCE!!!! Thank God it was me using the hair dryer and not one of my children!!! Unbelievable!!!!!

There is a portion of hair on the front right side of my head that it is singed/burnt to a crisp. My hand had tingling sensations for approximately three-four hours afterwards and my arm has a burn on it. The hair dryer is done-obviously. Not sure how the electrical socket is doing, as I am not about to plug a darn thing in!!! Talk about a frightening experience...in my 30+ years of using hair dryers, I have NEVER experienced anything like this!! I am not sure I will ever feel comfortable using a hair dryer again!
