I tried for over a week to submit a payment online and it would not accept my payment. I waited another day and tried again nothing happened again so I emailed customer service and told them about my problem. They offered other forms of payment and to try again later because they were having technical difficulties. I tried again and nothing happened. I tried to pay over the phone and my ss number and account number could not be found I called customer service on the morning of my due date only to be told that their system is down and to call back in half an hour and I could try to pay again but my payment would still be assessed a late fee because payments are posted on the next business day and my payment was due on a Sunday. Had they said that this was a long term issue I would have put the payment in the mail a week ago and maybe my payment would have gotten there on time. I am putting it in the mail today on my due date who knows when it well get there.

I opened an Aspire Visa Card in 2005.  In early 2007 a suspicious charge appeared on my bill.  After finally speaking to an actual person, it was stated that I did not need to pay my miniumun amount due at that time until the discrepency was resolved ( which is also stated on the back of each billing statement.) The next month I received a bill- with a late fee and a notice that my APR had increased.

I again called the company, at which time they again said that it was a mistake, etc and that it would not happen again.  Of course the discrepancy was not settled and on the following statement, I was charged another late fee, which sent me over my credit limit, which incurred another fee.  I went on for an entire year with them over this-making payments the entire time until I made a payment over their "new" website, which apparently never went though and started a whole new slew of fees.  Mid 2008 I refused to keep paying and quit talking to them.

I would rather pay a collections company than deal with this company again. Early this year I started receiving calls at my unlisted number ??? from them and they agreed to drop over 500 in charges if I set up an automatic monthy account withdrawl with them.  The first withdrawl came out of my bank account and that was it.  Now I get threatening calls five times a day for failing to pay.  I am at a loss.  I tried to pay them.

I canceled my card at least 6months ago and sent in the card cut in two. They keep charging me interest and over limit fees. My husband died last July. I was willing to pay what I owed which was about 500.00 at that time but they took my money but keep charging me the 70.00 a month. I just quite paying them because I couldn't get anyone to help me. I was willing to make payments but it was impossible at that rate. I draw a little over 600.00 a month.

Ellen of Coconut Creek, FL July 17, 2009

The company even though I was regularly paying my bills on time for years, ended the credit card program and closed my account for no apparent reason. I was unable to make payments online or even find out why they terminated me. This caused late charges. They did nothing to transfer my account to another card. I do not like paying fees to a company that treated my business so shabbily.

Pamela of Dayton, OH July 8, 2009

I obtained a VISA credit card from them in 2005. My credit limit was 250.00. When I lost my job I was unable to pay the monthly payments however when I got back on my feet I contacted them to try to make payment arrangements and get control of the account. At that time I was told that I needed to pay the entire balance which had mounted to over 700 because they were adding over the limit fees and late fees monthly. They refused to work with me stating that my account was being turned over to a collection agency.

The account is now being collected on by Midland Credit Management but they are refusing to work with me on a payment that I can afford. My account balance now exceeds 1575.00 because each month I continue to incur the undisclosed fees for over the limit and late payments. I cannot pay this amount of money. I cannot afford it.

I have tried with any success to get this account taken care of but the collection agency calls my home in the early morning hours, late evenings and call me at work insulting me, discrediting me, insulting me, demeaning me, and threatening me. They will stop at nothing. They are driving me crazy. I am constantly harassed and told that I am a deadbeat.

I have contacted Aspire a number of times to try to enter into a payment arangement that I can afford. They yell at me. I need help in resolving this matter. I need someone to intervene and assist me in getting these excessive fees reduced and a reasonable payment arrangement. They are ruining my credit and refuse to work with me. PLEASE HELP!

John of Langlois, OR July 8, 2009

I attempted to make my July payment to Aspire on line, It would not go through, I have been making my payments this way for the past 5 years, even though there is a 4.95 charge for making on line payment Due to the fact I have been out of the country for the past 3 years. I contacted the company and told them of my problem and that it was the only way I could make my payment. The reply was that there were other options available to me again I explained to them my situation and again I received the same reply this wemt on two more times with the same results, I wrote a leangth e-mail explaining my situation in detail, the reply I received was now that the system to process payments is down and would be fixed shortly, it has now been over a week and the system is still down and my payment is due on the 11th, It is totaly frustrating that I am willing to make a payment but the Company is unwilling to help out but is still telling me that if I dont make a payment I will get charged for a late fee. I have googeled this company and was amazed at all the complaints against them.

Aspire Visa said I opened an acc.#4791060016440868, with them in 1999 used it until 2007. Stoped paying. They sent it to a collections company. I still didn't know Aspire Visa nor Midland Funding LLC. I felt it was all a scam after they kept calling and demanding payments saying I had been paying but then stoped. I had never paid them because I didn't even know who they were. They got nasty on the phone, I got nasty. They called my husbands job, so he got nasty also.

The Attorney named above had me come to court. I had no defense to show that I didn't open, use,pay or know of this Company the Attorney didn't either. But they did have a typed history of the acc. and sent me a history also. I had to pay 4,153.72 to acompany I never heard of before that time.

Aspire Visa allowed my Mother-in-law to open an acc.in my name some how in 1999. She charged lots, returned lots, got cash back, cash advances, catalog ordering, went over limit, paid & was charged NSF fees paid even less, until she stoped in 2007. Aspire now sent me statements,I treated it like a scam. Then calls started eairly & late, even on my husband job! I asked for anything with a signature or bank acc.# P.O Box.all I got was *>#"* up credit & nasty Phone calls that pushed me to use some choice words

Rebecca of Mt. Gilead, NC June 21, 2009

IN 2003 I HAD a Aspire Visa, I had trouble contacting this company. There wasn't a toll-free number or a number on the Bill..so when I FOUND the Bill was wrong, I couldn 't contact them to straighten it out. I found a number but I couldnt understand what they were saying, or they would not answer..I always got a tape recording..After 6 mo.. I gave-up.. NOW after 5 yrs.. They have contacted me and taking me to court, stateing that I was notified..HA HA..Out the blue, there contacting me..But the way it sounds that they contacted in 06..NO...They want 8% more annually..I origanally only put about 300.00 on the account.I sent a letter and the card back in 04 with no reply. Meanwhile, they run-up the bill to 1,166.00. with late charges or whatever they could charge me with. They are just stabbing anyway they can to get money...They are lieing about when I last used this card.Abusing me and using our court system to collect money from there Victims. They recently went Bankrupt.
