I wrote earlier about Aspire and Tribute Credits cards. In addition to the previous on-going lies and problems I've had wtth this company; last month they claimed over the phone that I was on a 'Hardship' program; my payments were set at 30 per month, 0%, no more late or over the limit fees for 12 months.

I made the payment as agreed, the next one is due in 10 days, but they are already calling me several times per day threatening me and when I returned the call this morning to ask why I was getting these calls and threats when I was already on a program the guy, B. Small told me that didn't matter, they were 'moving forward to collect anyway'. Then when I tried to asked why and mentioned Tribute cards, he started shouting at me, then hung up on me.

I have an irregular heart beat and high blood pressure, sleep apena and related sleep disorders along with Epstein Barr. All of the conditions are greatly made worse by all the stress and no matter what I do, this company seems to want something different than what they tell me previously. I need help.

I read some of the other complaints and it seems they are doing similar things to a lot of other people. How do we get this under control? I will pay back what I actually owe, but I've been laid off since last August and can barely get by on unemployment. Sending them 30 a month was already a strain, but now they are still threatening me. At some point soon, I will be so in debt to them due to their fees, I will never be able to pay it off.

Does anyone Know if any lawsuits are filed against Aspire visa? If so please contact me to put my name on the list. My wife and I both have an account. We recieved our letters of accounts closing. I don't mind paying for what I owe I just think the monthly fees and intrest should stop since the card is no longer any good. We pay maintenance fees for a card that has no activity. We got the cards to hopefully help build our credit back up but instead hurt it even more. Please send me information on any suits or anything I can get my name on for this fraud.

Cathy of Delray Beach, FL April 12, 2009

Cathy of Delray Beach FL (04/12/09)
I closed my account several years ago after Aspire added fraudulent charges to my card. Shortly after I closed the account, the interest rate was raised. I have been paying on this closed account for 4 years now. But I can no longer afford the minimum payments. I sent a customer service emial asking for a lower interest rate so I can afford the minimum payments. The response was too bad. The companies policy does not allow lowering interest rates.

I did not apply for the card, it was sent to me by the bank. Was I ever sorry I foolishly accepted the card. I understand banks can charge any interest rate they want, but it is foolish to refuse to lower the rate when someone can no longer make the minimum payment. Why has this bank been allowed to continue on in this scummy, sorry manner? There must be some fine point of law that can be rasied in defense of the thousands of peoplr who inoccently fell into Aspire's greedy trap?

Because of the incredibally high interest rate - 30% - I have been paying on the balance for 4 years now. I can no longer afford the minimum payment. My credit will be further damaged with this unpaid bill. I am not a bill dodger. But I can no longer support this bill.

They closed my account without notice and now they are continuing to over charge on the payments. This not right. There aare over thounds of other customers with this complaints, Why do we have to pay for a bill that is no longer in business and still over chaging you. I have never been late with my payments This company should be sued for fraud, How do i go about doing this? Please let me know as soon as possible. I dont want to contnue paying this company knowing I never pay them off. This not fair to me or other consumers with this company, The Attorney General should look into this matter or FIDC. My bill never goes down only up this month it jumped from 5,640.68 to 5,666.18 the finance charge 125.73 This is an outrage on thier part. I hope you go to the Aspire cards and read what others have written about this matter
