An Insider's View

I received an advertisement from them to apply for a gold Mastercard. I filled out the form and placed a $199.00 check in the mail. On July 5, 2000 they cashed my check. Till this day I have not received anything from them saying approved or disapprove, but they have my money. The federal government should step in and do something.

I received a letter of Gauranteed Acceptance Certificate, from Direct Merchants bank on 8-23-00. The letter stated that if I setnt in a security deposit of $99, i would receive a gauranteed credit line of $500. I purchased a money order for the $99 and mailed to the address on the letter on 9-12-00. I have not heard anything form this bank. There has been no contact as to whether or not they have received my money order and I have not received the MasterCard either. I have the carbon copy of my money order. This has put me in a bind because I am a young, single, teenage parent, working a part time job, trying to make it in life.
