Direct Merchants Bank Application Fees |

I received an advertisement from them to apply for a gold Mastercard. I filled out the form and placed a $199.00 check in the mail. On July 5, 2000 they cashed my check. Till this day I have not received anything from them saying approved or disapprove, but they have my money. The federal government should step in and do something. On Sept. 26, 2000, Yemisi of Chicago wrote: I received a letter of Gauranteed Acceptance Certificate, from Direct Merchants bank on 8-23-00. The letter stated that if I setnt in a security deposit of $99, i would receive a gauranteed credit line of $500. I purchased a money order for the $99 and mailed to the address on the letter on 9-12-00. I have not heard anything form this bank. There has been no contact as to whether or not they have received my money order and I have not received the MasterCard either. I have the carbon copy of my money order. This has put me in a bind because I am a young, single, teenage parent, working a part time job, trying to make it in life. Report Your Experience
