I checked my pay check and found out that someone was garishing wages out of my pay check.Called to find out this wasand they gave me a name of a attorney that was handling my case, they said that I had a credit card though this bank. I never had this card in my life. The attorney couldn't even give me a number or adress to contact the creditor. I don't know where to go from here I never had this 828 debt and don't feel that I should have to suffer over something that doesn't concern me in the first place.

I paid off a loan during a refinance with them years ago, and now I am being dragged into court for a judgment by another bank/lawyer who supposedly bought my balance from FNBM. Have to go before a judge in a couple days.

I don't know what the consequences will be at this time, but I am probably going to be forced to pay it. Approx. 1,000. I don't owe.

Johnny of Los Angele, CA December 17, 2008

Johnny of Los Angele CA (12/17/08)
I just received an offer in the mail from Credit One Bank for a Pre-Approved card with a credit line of up to 1000. The first thing I did was turn it over to see who the issuing bank was. Wouldn't you know, it was FNBM. I know to most people it doesn't seem like a big deal, but I know this company from the inside. I was one of their sales people. I was 18, in desperate need of a job, and I found this company right down the street from me who just so happened to be hiring. I interviewed and realized it was a sleazy telemarketing job.

While I trained, I was shocked about how much they tell you to sell sell sell!!!. Their 'scam' is simple: find people on disability, teenagers, and the poor. Tell them how you are going to help them get their financial life back on track. Whatever you do, don't take no for an answer. I worked for the company for a few months, I was eventually fired because I never sold a single card.

Before I left, our office was paid a visit to by the FBI. Apparently enough people had complained that this company was a scam, so the FBI finally decided to investigate. It took me 3 months of working there to fully understand what that company was doing. Long story short people: *Do NOT EVER accept a credit card offer over the phone. *Do NOT mail in a credit card offer, or apply online, BEFORE reading every single letter in that fine print. (The offer I just received clearly stated that when I receive the card, there would be 150 already charged to it). *NEVER hesitate to call the FBI! They were created to catch organized criminals, and that's what these companies are!!! I feel so sorry for all of you that are dealing with this. In the future, at the first sign of a scam (can't get through to a real person, no physical address etc etc) CALL THE FBI!! That's how you stop these people!!

I am forever living with the knowledge that I worked for this company. Granted, I was 18, and this was 13 years ago, I wish i had the foresight to call the FBI myself.
