Steve of Payette, ID writes(1/28/01):
The problem is that I have received a letter from MCCBG but mailed in a GECS envelope, from Dayton, OH., with no phone number and the address on the envelope matches no listing in Ohio let alone Dayton. The letter is very short so here it is word for word. "Re:GECAF Program Termination Due to program changes, effective January 31, 2001, Monogram Credit Card Bank of Georgia will no longer extend credit for new purchases on the GECAF credit card program. Consquently, your ability to charge new purchases to your GECAF credit card will end on this date. Please be awre that, if you have a balance on your GECAF account, you must continue to make payments as indicated on the monthly billing statement. Thank you for being a loyal customer. Sincerely, Monogram Credit Card Bank of Georgia"

The problem is I know of no Monogram Credit Card Bank of Georgia or GECAF accounts or credit cards in my name. If I have an account with them I am completely unaware of it! The though of that tend to bother me a bit. I am just looking for a way to contact them to find out "What's Up?"

Benjamin of Aloha, OR, writes (1/23/01):

NO ADDRESS OR PHONE NUMBER ON LETTER. I DO NOT HAVE A CREDIT CARD WITH THIS COMPANY AND I NEVER HAVE HAD A CARD. I LOOKED THIS UP ON THE INTERNET AND THIS COMPANY HAS LAWSUITS BECAUSE OF BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES. I WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT THEY DONT COME BACK AND SAY I DO HAVE AN UNPAID BALANCE OR THAT NO ONE IS USING MY NAME.
