Debra of Lawrenceville, GA August 31, 2008

Debra of Lawrenceville GA (08/31/08)
I lost my job and was behind on my payments by 2 months. I called and told them I would send some money but they would not accept it. I was about to have my home foreclosed on and I was having trouble to pay my utilities. My phone was cut off so they could not reach me. I did receive a call from Breann telling me that I had until 3pm Central time (4pm EST) on 8-31 to call them or my account would be charged off on my credit.

I called them at 3:50pm Central time (before the deadline on my message). I advised them that I could pay 100 if I borrowed it from something today. They would only accept the payment if I sent it Western Union. I advised I did not have a Western Union near me. She then kept me on the phone saying that she was looking for a Western Union in my area. At 3pm central time she said oh well I don't see any Western Unions in your area and it's past the time so you are charged off as of now I told her that I had called before the deadline and that was not fair. She then said It's not fair to us that you can't pay your bills on time and that you waited to the last minute to call us, Your account is now Charged off then she hung up on me.

This results in me have a charge off on my credit (as if my credit wasn't already hurtig). I feel that they were determined to charge off the account no matter when I called. Yes I was behind and I had contacted them about it before. I was trying to make a small payment but they would not allow me to. They did this on purpose to cause me pain. Also, there was so much laughing and talking in the background I had to ask her three time what she said. When I told her I could not hear for the noise behind her, she said sorry, but that's not your problem.

I applied on line for a low intrest credit card I did not see it was a credit card at the cost of 179 for 300 credit before the outrageous fee. IT only said see in 60 seconds if you qualify. Is there a law that protects me to return within 3 days to cancel contract? the card comes pre activated already. I have signed nothing and not used the card I just got the card with details yesterday (August 29, 2008)

I recieved in the mail today a credit card. I did NOT apply for this credit card and it was/is NOT only an offer. It states on it that this card is fully activated and I will recieve a bill in 7-10 days to make my minimum payment (of 25) against the 179 in fees that have already been charged on it. Someone told me that my bank must have sold them my information. I'm not sure how valid this is, but no matter how they got it, to send out an already activated credit card to a person who didn't not apply for it is wrong.

What if that wasn't my current address or someone stole my mail out of my mailbox? Some stranger would now have this already activated credit card that I had NO CLUE existed, till i heard about it on my credit report! Not only that, but to send out this unsolicited card with fees on it and to make it MY RESPONSIBILITY to cancel it, to make sure I don't get charged for those fees! That is I may not get charged for those fees because according to the paperwork they sent with it: You may cancel your Credit Account at any time by notifying us by telephone or in writing. Even after your Credit Account is closed, you remain responsible for paying any amounts you owe on the Credit Account according to the terms of this Contract.

The phone number provided is only automated and no matter what i tried, i could not speak to a real person. The website provided allows me two options, enroll or login. I have no wish to enroll for a card and neither do i have a login. There is no other contact information provided on the website. The last option for contact provided is (in the paperwork when i got the card) a P.O. Box. 4 of them actually... 4 different ones! one on the top of the page, one for payments, one on the envelope and one on the back of the card. Who do I send the shredded card back to? I encourage anyone else having problems with this bank to contact: Federal Reserve Consumer Help.

I went on line just to check out things.trying to see what my credit report was, First Premier Bank came up. Iwanted to see if anything would happen. when 250.00 came up Itried to delete my name, then alive person came up and she asked me to wait a moment that she would reduce the interst rate.

Ishut down my computer, thought that was the end of it. but i recieved a letter in the mail about credit card protection, and two days later Ireceived acredit card. I tried to call them on 8/18/08 to find the number busy allday. Idon't want this card, that's why Ishut down my computer.

William of Sterling, VA August 10, 2008

William of Sterling VA (08/10/08)
First Premier bank has reported 3 different things to my credit bureaus which has had a negative effect on 2 of them. In trying to contact them they do not have a valid e-mail address that you can use anywhere. I am currently in Kosovo in support of the US Army and do not have access to a phone, therefore I cannot contact them to have this resolved...

Economic consequences have been me paying a lot higher interest rates than I need to be paying and First Premier Bank has trashed my credit as well.
