I received on 10.1.09 a First Premier Gold Visa Card in one envelope and a statement in another envelope. The invoice was for 179.00. I did not apply for this card and have never heard of First Premier Bank. I called Premier Bank and asked then why they would send me a card that I did not apply for and they would not talk to me, but said that they would call the credit bureaus and also cancell the card. They said that I had applies for the card and this is why I received it....now I have very bad credit and am unemployed at this time...1st. why would I apply for a card and 2nd. why would they send me one if I applied for one...I do belive this is a scam and really do not know what they have advised the credit bureaus.

We had a payment that we made a little over a month ago that we had made with one of their managers. She asked me to pay 3 times the amount needed since they had some issues with their computers and they will return my fees as soon as the payment processes. I had given them the card numbers, and was waiting on the computer to see it show up on our bank statement. It showed up, and we figured everything was fine.

The next month, we were told that we had missed a payment, and that a report had been sent in to the credit bereau. We were told that we missed this payment, even though we have since sent in documentation 3 times showing that there was payment on that day, which was not returned, that had a delay until the next day (something they said was unique), and that they had made no mistake. We told them that we had no issue even paying it again, but that a credit report for something like this was ridiculous. They insisted that our full month's bank statement, and letter from the bank was not enough, and that it would stay.

We feel that this an absolute scam since it comes with all sorts of fees on top, even though the card is not working for a long time now. The representatives are not trained enough to handle anything, but collection script. Managers keep promissing to "Do the reseach" and all I get is more illiterate collection calls. My credit is all messed up now and there is no way to fight this injustics. Credit was damaged badly. We were asked to pay 5 times more than I ever borrowed

I'd like to share my experience with you, hopefully, it will help some people. Unfortuanlty, I think we all found about this site a little to late and that's the reason we are here, but for those who currently have trouble with Premier Bank or who are thinking about getting credit from them, please read: I have had a Premier Bank card for some time now, and really have had no problems with payments or customer service.

I've experienced some financial trouble in the past few months, and have fell behind on payments. My card balance is currently 140 over the limit, due to fees and what not, becuase I haven't been able to pay in a few months. They called me up and offered a settlement. They asked me to pay 50% of the balance, which I felt was a good deal and accepted. I spoke to a lady named Chris, who told me the terms of the agreement. I told her that I wanted the settlement. I asked her to mail a confirmation of the agreement, and she agreed. I told her that I would call back on Monday and arrange a payment either then or for Tuesday, figuring that I would receive the by then.

Eleven days later, I have not received any letter. I called up and spoke to a lady named Cathy, who by some strange coincidence, has answered the phone every time that I've called them in the past few months. Is this a four person company/office? I know she is not a secretary.

Anyway, she informed me that they DO NOT mail a letter, and CAN NOT FAX a letter, or even send an email confirmation. The only way that they could send me a letter is that if I arranged a payment. Come on now! I've settled with credit card companies before, and it has NEVER been a problem to get things in writing before making a payment.

She said that this offer was only good until the 30th, which I was aware of, and if no payment was received by then that this account would be charged off. She continued that it would be impossible to get a letter to me by the 30th, but if I arranged a payment right now, they would mail one, but they needed a payment to process. So, basically the wanted me to TRUST them and give them money and leave me to hope they hold up their end of the deal. I refused. I've done too much homework and research with this kind of thing, and I know that rule one is to get everything in writing BEFORE any form of payment is made. Cathy got real rude and accused me of going in circles. When I kept turning down offers for automated payments, Western Unions, and whatever else, and kept stating that I needed a letter physically in my hands before any payment will be made. She got frustrated and threatened to hang up on me, then I asked for her supervisor.

The supervisor named Amy was calmer, but she didn't offer anything different. Just that I could either Western Union them the money, or set up an automatic payment from my account. They both acted surprised when I said that if I pay I will pay by overnighting a money order or cashiers check. Bottom line is that now I have two days to pay them, and have no proof that they will hold up their end of the deal. They've made something that shouldn't be complicated into a big issue, and I have lost any trust and faith in this "bank" or "company"(not that I had much in the first place). I will not make a payment to them, and will let this 600 issue go to collections. Maybe there I will deal with someone reasonable.

Here are some things I've learned through my financial troubles. 1.Do not give them electronic access to you checking account. This will lead to unauthorized withdrawals, bank fees, and etc. If you have to pay, pay by cashiers checks, or money orders. 2.Get EVERYTHING in writing, because an issue surrounding this debt WILL come up. Maybe not real soon, but maybe years from now, so keep a record. Thank you for reading this.

I applied for a credit card through this company in order to re-establish my credit. When I received the card, there was already over 100 worth of charges on the card due to service fees. None of this was explained to me when I applied for the card. Shortly after I received the card, I received notice from my employer that we were to go on mandatory furlough leave, which made it impossible to pay off the large balance until September. I tried to explain this situation to the numerous customer service representatives who would contact my home on an hourly basis from April to August. Although I had tried to make payment arrangements for smaller amounts, the agents refused to take them and told me they were not acceptable. Additionally, every female agent I spoke with was rude, agressive and raised their voice with me. This is absolutely unacceptable business practice. Whenever I asked to speak with a manager, I was refused. Finally I had made arrangements with Cory on the 29th of August to pay the amount of 186.30 on September 8, 2009 and was given a confirmation number. The payment never credited my account and I check my account on a daily basis.

Fianlly, on September 13th, I received a call from a woman claiming to be from First Premiere Bank. I asked her about the payment and she told me that my debit card was declined on the 8th due to insufficient funds. I explained to her that I had money in my account waiting for the credit to take place. She told me that I could go to a Walmart and get a Moneygram to pay off the amount in order to make sure it went through. I asked her if I could speak to a Manager to ensure that I would not be paying for something with a Moneygram only to have another payment come out in a few days. She argued with me, but me on mute and said that she had to speak with me before putting me through to a manager. I refused to speak with her, thinking that this might be a con game and not legitimate, argued with her and hung up on her. I tried to contact the company right after I hung up on the agent and found that I would have to contact customer service on Monday since the office was closed. Since the office was closed, I am seriously doubting the legitimacy of the phone call I received on September 13th.
