Dennis of Metairie, LA November 5, 2009 They keep charging my credit card for services I did not solicit. I signed up for a trail membership and they continue to take money from my account. Please help myself and looks like a lot of other people. Thanks Wendy of Pacific Grove, CA November 5, 2009 I have been trying to cancel my membership but they will not let me. Also I recieved notification of a lawsuit for Classmates.com overcharging customers and not allowing them to cancel their accounts. When I tried to get information all the deadlines had passed. The deadline for filing a complaint was May 2009, I recieved the email on September 29, 2009. I had signed up for an account in 2006. I used it for a short time then forgot about it. I realize some time later that I was still being charged. There pay cycle is 3 months so I did not notice the charges coming through. This is my fault for not paying attention to my account. However when I tried to sign on in order to cancel the account the site would not let me. When I contacted customer service they sent me an email with a different signing name. They said I had a free account and the gold account in which I was paying. Fine the oversite was my fault and now I had an avenue to resolve the issue. The sign in does not work. I still can not sign. This whole process is way to complicated. The hoops I am still jumping through is rediculous. As i am still trying to resolve this issue they are still charging my credit card. Joel of West Barnstable, MA November 5, 2009 Received a bill on my credit card statement for 39.00, which I did not authorize. I sent them an email demanding a refund and got back a message that said I could cancel after another year but I owed the 39.00. Responded by again demanding my money back. No response after that. I am possibly out my 39.00 Ann of Glendora, CA November 4, 2009 I have a 59.00 charge on my Visa account. Years ago I signed up for a "One time Only" charge for Life. I have no idea how they charged me this amount years later. I am going to check and see if they did this more than once. I am still waiting to speak with a representitive. I have been on the phone for 34 minutes and get the same recording. I am Furious they would do this. This is definately a scam. Deidre of Vallejo, CA November 4, 2009 Like many others, I too received multiple e-mails indicating that friends or old classmates were searching for me. Total horse puckey, no-one was really searching for me! I am thankful I did not purchase a premium membership as others have been duped into buying. After a lot of searching I found this number for classmates office in Renton, Washington. although the company seems to have relocated to Seattle the phone number still works. Only consequences were wasting my time. This company lies in order to trap people into purchasing a membership that is auto-renewing, auto-charging, and useless. Daniel of Closter, NJ November 4, 2009 I was shocked to find 15 charges per month this month and last month from Classmates.com! They responded mentioning some 'auto renewal' and gold membership which I don't recall anything about this! On top of that, they told me I had to log in to cancel and take several steps. Then of course a password had to be reset or something to make it even more frustrating. I told them to reverse charges and do not charge again and they did not comply! They said "Your Gold membership will expire and revert to FREE status on Jan 21, 2010. After your membership reverts to free status"and said there is a no refund policy! What? They also said I'm like the most popular guy in the grade and most sought out! Huh? Coming here, it looks like they are scamming everyone! Hope they pay for their scam/frustration-causing ways! Economic damage- my account being charged this year...at least 30 plus furture months they claim they will charge. I have yet to check the months prior to the last charged. They are causing time wasted and frustration. Ginger of Irving, TX November 4, 2009 Received my bill for November on 11/2/09 and was amazed that I have an unarthurized charge from classmates.com. This company never notifided me at all that I was going to be charged 39. I called and spoke to a Jessica and she told me that she really couln't help me with the charge but I had signed up for it when I put my charge card information in last year. I told her that I wanted a refund and she told me "NO"! She told me that she could charge me 9.95 which would still give me another year. I told her "NO" again. She was very insistant about me keeping my account. If I had known all about this during my class reunion I would have never used this website since I'm on a limited income. She finally told me that she would cancel my renewl. kristin of new orleans, LA November 3, 2009 continue to send me emails addressed to my deceased brother after requesting they stop. i have complained to them several times. rose of n bellmore, NY October 31, 2009 I paid a fee of 9.95 to re-enroll is classmates.com and when I go to the website I can't navigate or go anywhere.
