stop sending me your email ads....I am sick of them.......it is over 4 weeks I have been unsubscribing. Then I realized the wording below is wrong for unsubscribing. You say "but if you want to continue, simply enter your email address and click unsubscribe" tricky don't you think....??? and nasty too......Read it for yourself below: "Welcome to the unsubscribe manager for eHarmony. We hope that you'll reconsider unsubscribing, but if you want to continue, simply enter your email below and click "Unsubscribe".

I joined eharmony a few years ago with the "guaruntee to find a match or your money back". When I did not find my match but met scuzzy men who only wanted to hook up, I cancelled my subscription and wrote a letter telling them that I was disappointed and felt that their company did not meet the standards they advertised.

I never heard back but when I heard they were giving three days free for the new year, I decided to try it again. It seems that now they have blocked me from joining and I NEVER heard back from them. This company [is bad]! What a waste of money!

Every time I try to log in my account said password is incorrect or forgotten password. Using e-mail on file I have been given numerous temporary passwords which I can then change. Every time I try this I still get invalid password with e-mail address staying the same. Can [they] fix this please?

eharmony is a service made to "bring people together". Well I'll have you know that this company tore my family apart. My mother and father divorced when I was 4 and I have a 2 younger siblings both 3 years younger than I. Living only minutes away from eachother, this divorce was not much of a problem, having acsess to both parents any time my brother, sister or I need. Now after 2 failed marriges my briliant mother decides to try eharmony. Sure enough she found her "match", her "soul mate"... Half way across the country. Now being " in love" .... Again, my mother is due to marry this guy and leave all of us behind. My younger siblings, being only freshman in highschool are being abandoned for some " soul mate" that my mother met on the Internet for Christ sake. What is this world comming to? Dont use the Internet to find a " soul mate" half way across the country unless you plan on completely abandoning your true loves and family.

I signed up for eharmony approximately one year ago. I thought I had signed up for 30 days; it turns out I'd signed up for 3 months. I contacted them and they told me they would issue a credit. (That's not my complaint, although I don't think they did). It turns out that eharmony automatically renewed me at 96.95 beginning on March 29, 2009, every three months. The first time I realized this was today, when an email from them turned up in my suspect mail (I had them in suspect mail because the company sends so many emails it completely overloaded my inbox).

I spoke with a customer service representative and he said when I agreed to the terms of service, I agreed to automatic renewals. I'm an attorney -- I don't remember reading this -- but I find this completely unethical. Moreover, even if their terms of service provide for that, I doubt most people realize it, and in my case, when I explained to them I only wanted one month, that should have been the end of the inquiry. I asked for credit from March 09, and they refused because I logged in in May, which I did because I was trying to figure out why my account was still open, since I was still receiving emails from them.

I found them so cumbersome (they send you dozens of matches and you can't get rid of the profiles they've sent without completely a lengthy questionnaire for each candidate) that I assumed they were matching me with people even though I had not paid and was not using their service, so I did not assume that they were renewing my subscription. I suppose I should have been scouring my credit card bill, but I haven't had a problem with unwanted charges and I didn't.

The customer service representative I spoke to sounded like he was in a cult: he insisted on saying "you renewed your subscription on X date", no matter how often I corrected him, and when I told him the company was unethical he said, 'no, you agreed. Eharmony tries to help people find love.' Ugh.

They are a despicable company and I will do whatever I can to inform people of what I believe are appalling business practices. I asked to speak to someone above him and he refused, telling me I have to respond to an email he will (supposedly) send me. I am a single parent supporting a young child and cannot believe they stole nearly 300 from me for nothing. DO NOT USE THEM.

Eharmony took nearly 300 dollars (well, 400, but they claim they are refunding 96.95) without my authorization. They claim I agreed to the automatic renewal in the terms of service.

I subscribed to their dating service, then after getting no results, cancelled my subscription. Having agreed to pay 59.95 to a company called Bill me Later, I shall do so, and also do what their billing agreement says to do in section 16b of their agreement.

After reading some of the complaints via internet, and not personally getting any substantial responses i.e.actual dates or contact, I have concluded that the whole operation is a SCAM! This is just my opinion.

marcia of patterson, NY December 24, 2009

the website does not allow you to carcel your membership as there is no place to click to do so. As a result it will automatically renew your membership even if you do not wish to do so. Please help me cancel my membership as I cannot afford to continue this renewal processl.

Travis of Oxford, AL December 12, 2009

As I am sure a lot of people do, after my wife died over a year ago, I saw an ad on cable TV about a match making company called eharmony.com. I was looking for a lady to share my life with. It was a simple fill in the information and profile and for "free" that could match you up and give you a simple local single list. If you wanted to contact these ladies you could sign up for a monthly fee.

What I did not know was eharmony.com through a credit scam set up an account through BillMeLater.com. Eharmony through BillMeLater set up a credit account in my name and BillMeLater sent me a bill for 5.95. Good thing I pay close attention to on line and mailed bills. This account could still cost me a lot.

I called both eharmony & BillMeLater to complain. Eharmony claims it is a fee to verify who I am. This "account" was never activited approved by me! I ask both eharmony & BillMeLater to cancel all future account actions. Eharmony is scamming people that are at their weakest point in their lives, death of a spouse. Trust is hard enough to give after a loved one dies. Eharmony through BillMeLater sickens me. They have damaged my heart and soul. I well never trust anyone again. I was misled by eharmony.com.

Stephanie of Boca Raton, FL December 11, 2009

EHarmony withdrew money from my account without my approval and of course it is impossible to contact them - I sent them a gizzillion e-mails and they told me the La De Dah story about how I didn't read the fine lines. I told them I wanted my money back because they took it before I had a chance to cancel the membership which was up today. Do not ask for Customer Service ask to speak directly to the Assistant to the President. You will get your money back
